It's a lovely, unique item. The music box itself sounds nice, though it only plays a short portion of the sailor moon theme. The feeling of it seems delicate. The locket is plastic, but very reflective (like a mirror). Some people commented that the music plays too fast. If you wind it up too much it will play really fast. If you only wind 2 or so rotations, it will play at a normal speed. The moon gem inside turns with the music, which is nice to look at. This is a collector's item, so it's expensive. The quality is not bad, but I will admit, it wasn't what I was expecting. It's lighter-weight than I expected and I feel like it could break easily, so I am careful with it. Despite this, I love it.

I'm so in love with my Star Locket! I've been waiting to get one of these since the 90s, so this remake in the Moonlight Memory series is perfect. It improved the old one by having more rounded sides. The seams are almost invisible on this one where it's put together. The center gem is faceted and sparkly. The inside under the moon has a sparkly design as well, showing the moon phases. The key to wind it is set into a little hole in the back so it will lay flat, unlike the 90s version. The chain is longer than I expected and seems to be fairly durable. The whole thing is extremely shiny and the music it plays is flawless and exactly like the anime. There is a tiny black spot on the inside bottom right where the lid closes. This is what causes the music to stop or start when the lid is closed or opened.The eyelet where the chain feeds through to hold the locket on rotates 360 degrees so the chain doesn't get twisted up.(Forgive my pictures. I have been trying to get my hands on a Sailor Moon Star Locket for over 10 years! After all those times of watching auction after auction on eBay only to see people gouging for the 1992 and 1995 models anywhere between $500-$1000, I thought there was no way I was gonna get my hands on one of these. Fast forward the clocks to my last semester of college back in 2014. When I heard that these were coming out, I freaked and I had to jump on the opportunity! Unfortunately, I wasn't working at the time it was released so I had to wait. A year went by, and even though I've done many Amazon hauls, I couldn't bring myself to spend one haul's worth of money on this.This last Christmas, I got some money. I had a total of $173 from the gift money. I went to the store one night and I used it to buy an Amazon gift card. When I got it, that same night I went on Amazon and bought this star locket. Unfortunately, the first seller I bought it from told me they couldn't ship it, so they gave me my money back. I went with another seller and ended up having to pay $39 out of my own money and the rest was paid for by the gift card.After I ordered it again, I kept watching the tracking every day, waiting for something I've been trying to get my hands on for so long to finally be in my hands. That finally happened this afternoon when I went to get the mail. There it was on my front door. The package from Japan! I was so excited! I couldn't stop smiling! I went over to the kitchen, cut the box open, and I took the star locket out! I held it in my hands and cried tears of joy! After all these years of waiting, I had finally gotten something I've been wanting so much for so long!! I'm still crying tears of joy! Thank you, Bandai, for releasing this and making a long time fan's dream come true!P.S. The locket is the perfect size for cosplaying! So if you wanna dress up as Sailor Moon/princess Serenity, this is absolutely perfect!!

I rated four stars because the moon inside didn't rotate as the music box played, so I had to open it up and fix it...which, for $160, I really should not have had to do. My only other complaint (that is entirely not the seller's fault) is that the music box plays WAY too fast compared to the anime! I tried finding a way to slow it down after I took it apart to fix the moon, but to no avail. The chain is absolutely beautiful, and I love how it has spacer beads on it reminiscent of Mamoru's pocket watch chain in the manga.

Expensive but I've been obsessed for majority of my life and I LOVE this! Pretty much a must have for any Sailor Moon fanatic that got introduced by the 90's anime. The melody is faster than the anime but it almost perfectly fits the Orgel music box version (can be found on YT and iTunes). Stunningly shiny and the moon rotating the pink rhinestone really adds a lot. I still wind it up to watch and listen all the time :) 100% worth it and I'm the only one who gets to touch it ;)

This product was not at all as advertised. What I received was not a wind up toy and did not play music. It was an empty piece of plastic. Very disappointed as this was a gift.

Totally worth it. I don't regret this purchase at all. It is a beautiful piece and plays beautifully for a wind up toy. The plastic is shiny and doesn't even look like plastic really. Love it.
