Sauder Heritage Hill Executive Desk, Classic Cherry Finish

I love this desk! It is very sturdy and looks very professional. Lots of workspace and storage space. It took me a few hours to put together but the instructions we excellent and easy to follow. There were a few dings or scratches from shipping but it comes with a staining pen to cover up any scratches which works great. An excellent desk and great price!

The desk is nice but it was very damaged in shipping. Could have been the shipper or maybe the parts could have had some better packaging. Definitely check it out before accepting it.

Had some shipping issues, but customer service quickly sent out the correct item.Also had on part in the mix that wasn't fully molded. Again, customer service quickly sent out the replacement part.The desk is solid and huge, lots of space to work off of. It easily holds my two 26" screens and 15" laptop with room to spare.

Finished product is nice. Assembly takes a long time. Shipping took forever and product has some damages upon arrival.

I bought this executive desk with the matching 48" length return kit, a hanging file folder cabinet and three bookcases. I'm fairly pleased with the set, which in my opinion is a reasonable value for the money with only a few drawbacks.* All pieces look quite good and seem quite sturdy once assembled;* The packing materials aren't the best, resulting in many small rubbing marks and some scratches. However, these minor blemishes were almost entirely hidden by applying the colored marker that's included with every piece. The pieces now look quite clean and attractive;* The desk top was the only piece that had a more serious flaw, which was a crack caused by something striking the package, probably during shipping. I notified the supplier, and they immediately shipped me another desk top. I'm satisfied with this outcome, but wish that the packaging was a little more robust and that a layer of protective paper or foam was used between the pieces to prevent the rubbing marks;* The assembly instructions are excellent, including both detailed diagrams and adequate descriptions in words;* There is a lot of hardware. I immediately separated like pieces into small containers (I actually used an empty egg carton, which worked well). The hardware installs fairly easily with minimal tools;* As many other reviewers have said, it's a reasonable amount of work to assemble these pieces (6 in my case). However, the finished product is worth it.I like the look and feel of this desk and the matching pieces that are readily available on Amazon. This isn't heirloom quality furniture, but it looks pretty good and meets my needs.Regards, Mark

To begin with, the item showed up with tears in the packaging. I looked at the open section but didn't see any damage, so I assumed it was okay. Because this is going in our home office, it took some time before we had an open window to take down the existing desk and put this one up.When we opened the box, it was clear that the damage wasn't limited to the packaging. The box had allowed parts inside to shift. Some were simply surface damaged, a couple were actually broken. I contacted Sauder (rather than the seller, there's not much they could do.) Sauder had me photograph the damaged parts, and they were able to replace them, although it took quite a while to get them. (That's pretty much the standard right now.)I'll say that, although their products are pretty good overall, the assembly process is not incredibly intuitive. Once I got it assembled, I was a little disappointed that the keyboard tray is just barely wide enough for an ergonomic keyboard. Even if you use a standard keyboard, it leaves no room whatsoever for a mouse. This is strictly for storage while not in use. Putting the back and sides on the tray even make that impossible unless you take the mouse pad off.We bought this because I hadn't finished the electrical system in my shop yet, and my wife needed a desk sooner. That was pretty much negated having to wait for replacement parts. All in all, I could have built a nicer desk in a more timely fashion for less than half the price. If you have to have one soon, spin the wheel and hope for better packaging and shipping.

This desk is solid and very good quality. I like the cherry color. I have plenty of file space and the storage drawer for our battery backup system for our computer.

Love the desk, wasn’t too bad to assemble. But it is not as sturdy as I would like. It has a big overhang on the front side (which is what I liked about the desk). BUT, you can not lean on it, because it will bow and I suspect break at some point if someone puts too much pressure on it. But I do love the desk!!!!
