Wonderful support!
I love this product! I walk on hard surfaces (concrete, marble, granite) four days a week (> 40 hours a week) when I teach; and I also worked for three years 9 hour days at a retail store, standing and walking a lot! I'd go home from both jobs with painful legs and be exhausted the next day. I bought my first pair of these at a local drug store and paid $50 for one pair. I thought I'd purchased two pairs, but figured out quickly that these only come one knee high per box. So after being sure I could wear these with good results and getting a good fit with the size I chose, went to Amazon to find out what I'd pay for the same item - exactly half the drug store price! I love the open toe and heel, and wear a pair of very short (no show) tennis shoe socks over them with my tennis shoes. The no show socks are thin which means I have no toe or heel problems when wearing them. I guessed at the size, but since they were listed for both men and women, and I'm short, I chose the medium size which fits great. Before I washed them the first time, they were a bear to get on and off, but then I washed them in cold water and hung them to dry. They became more flexible and much easier to put on. However the secret for me to putting them on and taking them off is to turn them almost inside out. When you put them on, insert your hand and grab the heel while pulling the top almost down to the heel hole. Then I take my hand out, put the mostly inside out stocking over my toes, and taking care to line the heel hole up with my heel, I pull the rest of the stocking up to my ankle. The final step is to grab the top of the stocking and pull it up over the foot and ankle, all the way to the knee. To remove pull the top down over the foot, stopping at the ankle .Pull the portion left at the ankle down over the heel and grab the toe with the other hand and finish the pull, but continue holding the toe which makes it easy to pull the rest of the stocking right side out. They will be hot in summer and I'm sure I'll have to find other options. I have also ordered other knee highs from Amazon from other companies. They are all different in thickness even though I always order the 20/30 mg. Hg and size medium, even when from the same manufacturer. They also very by ease or difficulty putting them o and taking them off. But all have served me well even though I have my favorites - these!

Thick, good support, perfect in winter.
I'm a nurse and on my feet all day. I like that these have an open toe and heel. By the end of the day I still have a little swelling at the ankle and my legs are still a little tired, but nothing compared to what they were before starting to wear these. They are a bit thick and can feel hot at times, but they also wash well and therefore I think that thickness contributes to a product that will last a long time. I'd say I've washed mine 40+ times and they still are firm support. One warning...make sure that when you put your shoes on with these that there is no roll or lump where the foot arch is or you will be readjusting or having a crease in the foot. Not a big deal, but if you have diminished sensation to your foot you may not notice until you have a solid crease there. I recommend these to all my coworkers.

Good idea, but . . .
By the way, "pack of 2" means that you get 1 pair of socks, not 2 pairs, as I incorrectly assumed. When I ordered these, I didn't know they were men's socks and intended primarily for post-surgical use. (I am a woman with very mild circulatory problems in my lower legs.) Even so, I find that these support socks do a great job of keeping up good circulation when one is standing or sitting for long periods of time, however, they are very heavy (think "athletic joint support"). I like the open toe, since I find that support hose tend to make my toes hurt when worn for long periods, but the open heel is uncomfortable. Because of how thick the fabric is, if you do much walking in the socks, the edge of the heel opening rubs painfully against the back of your ankle. However, these would be great for airline travel, when walking is kept to a minimum.

Futuro Stockings
This was a great buy, these are $15 EACH in the store, so I got 2 pair for just a bit more than 1 pair cost. I really like Futuro, they are uglier (lol) than other ugly support stockings, but they are so soft and much easier to get on. I have a scar on my leg and when i try to straighten the regular support stockings they sometimes pull the tender skin off. These don't. I just wish they came in a 30/40 compression which is what I am supposed to be wearing. But for the comfort, and compression one gets they are great!

Recommended for anyone who spend long hours on their feet!
I work 12 hour shifts and spend most of the time on my feet. These support stockings are very comfortable. I would recommend trying a pair and seeing if it makes any difference for you. I feel like I have more energy when I wear them, my legs are not as tired at the end of the day, and they don't slide down my legs- even when I need to move quickly.
