Phenomenal case.
Absolutely the best case I've ever had for anything. The Pick n Pluck foam is brilliantly designed...really easy to customize. Heavy duty construction; it's built like a tank. Pressure valve concept is genius. It arrived quickly, and includes paperwork you can fill out to get a custom nameplate for yourself and/or your business (up to three lines), for something like 15 bucks per plate. It was a little bit pricy, but for what your getting (which is OUTSTANDING protection for sensitive equipment) , i think it's worth every penny. The only consideration i'd suggest if you're thinking about buying it: the case is surprisingly heavy. I'm fairly strong for a smallish dude, so it's a manageable weight for me, but i think some people might find it to be a little heavier than they'd like.Possibly relevant to some people: I am a music producer, and use the case for my Maschine Studio controller. I fit it with a custom elevated wood trim kit (making it appreciably bulkier), and wanted to be able to transport and store it without having to bust out my allen wrenches every time to remove the mount. It fits PERFECTLY.Absolutely recommended.

Perfect VR kit case
I use this as a storage and transport case for my Valve Index. The pick 'n pluck foam is perfect for making custom sized holes for the headset and other pieces of the kit. This is a pretty large case and I probably could have gone with a smaller one, but I like that it's a little over sized. It allows me to fit other accessories like additional face gaskets, cables, and a battery bank for charging the controllers. You could probably even fit a laptop in it. If you're looking for something that will hold it all, this is it. If you want something that will just hold your vr kit, get something a little bit smaller.

Pelican has the best cases! I would never buy a different brand.
Love this case! It is sturdy as hell (like all Pelican cases), and is fairly large. It has 4 latches (2 on the front, and 1 on each side not containing hinges). The pick and pluck foam is great, and there are 2 layers of it provided in this case, not including the bottom and top linings. It does not have a roller and handle option like some of the other models but, personally, I prefer this style anyway. You won't find a better case. A 1 inch lock is a tight fit for this case, but it will still work well. If you need to store valuable, dangerous, or electronic items (safely and securely) Pelican cases cannot be beaten! They also have lifetime guarantees, which is nice peace of mind just in case it ever breaks (which I highly doubt).

Perfect storage solution for camera gear
This is the perfect solution for storing my camera gear. It is a little bit larger than I expected but it turned out to good thing. I am able to stand my lenses up in the case which saved guide a bit of room for future lenses. The longest lens I have is a 28-300mm and if I had gone with the 1550 case I would have had to lay it down. The flexibility of the tear out foam allows a tight fit for each item. There are two layers so I could have a larger hole in the top layer for the lens hoods and a smaller hole for the rest of the lens in the lower layer. The inserts tear out easily by hand but I found using a butter knife broke them out cleanly.

Hardy Pelican case!
This particular case is large enough for most of my camera equipment. 2 Nikon bodies, 8 lenses, 2 flashes, macro ring light, batteries, cleaning stuff, filters, remote cords and several other accessories, most of it in it's own separate case or bag. The padded dividers could be a little more adjustable, I wish the smaller pieces, (a least some of them) had full soft velcro attachable covers to provide more flexibility. I ended up using some pieces from other cases I have laying around. One reason I am exited about this case is the ability to seal my equipment from dust and humidity for better storage. I also am using desiccant to insure a dry environment. The four latches provide a nice secure closure, and I am using padlocks to ensure it stays shut.(at least a 7/8 inch shackle is needed, and a 1 inch shackle would work). The handle is sturdy and comfortable, which is good because it is pretty heavy fully loaded.I did not want the wheels and extending handle to try and keep it a little more compact, and I bring smaller cases/backpacks to carry only what I want for any given outing. This quality case provides piece of mind that my equipment is well protected, and easily accessible. I do not recommend attempting to carry this fairly large and heavy case everywhere, but use it to keep everything together at home and in the car, and grab what you want from there. 5 stars for protection, 4 stars for flexible customizing. Be sure to lay out and measure your equipment to pick the best case for your needs. For me the size, padded dividers, beefier handle, and 4 latches make this case a winner.

Pelican 1600 Case with Pick 'n Pluck
Yet another awesome Pelican case. Can't go wrong with Pelican to honest. I have bought several of their cases, several in this size and a few other sizes. I use this to transport my electronics when on trips for the military. I never know where I will end up but I can tell you that everything I take in the Pelican makes it out in better shape than I do. Brought a Samsung 22" LED and Xbox 360 last trip and the case was constantly left in the rain, bounced around in the back of a humvee, and sat on by 2-3 people for weeks at a time while eating lunch and it still looked new when I got back. My only advice is make sure you get ACCURATE measurements of the items you plan to keep in the case before you purchase, it's very expensive to ship these back if your stuff doesn't fit. Pick 'n Pluck foam makes it easy to make generic shapes for most items but if you want a real custom fit and extra protection, invest in (or build your own) hot wire foam cutter and trace your items onto the foam with chalk and then cut them out. Makes for a much tighter fit and saves space to fit more stuff in the case.Recommend.
