Conair 1875 Watt Style and Shine Hair Dryer; Purple/Black

This hair dryer is really very good. In order of importance to me: 1) It's quieter than the last several hair dryers I've owned. I hate hair dryers that have that high-pitched whine to them. This is a much more acceptable sound. I don't feel as if I'm putting my hearing at risk simply by drying my hair. 2) It's lighter in weight than the last several hair dryers I've owned. It's NOT as light as a "travel" hair dryer, but those"travel" hair dryers have that high-pitched noise I was referring to. So, definitely lighter than most regular dryers, but don't expect it to be a feather. 3) It dries my hair efficiently and pretty fast. Handy for those times you're running late. It also comes with a diffuser and another attachment I haven't used yet. Overall, a great dryer for the price!

This pretty purple blow dryer was a deal on Amazon! Half the price that it was in the pharmacy store on the corner.My blow dryer blew up unexpectedly so I bought this with a little research done. When I first fired it up I thought it was going to be a disappointment because it is not loud. The long story short is it just has a quiet motor that blows at a lower sound level which is actually pleasant. I'm one of those people who absolutely hates leaf blowers and 2-cycle engines. My last blow dryer was whiny and annoying and almost hurt the ears when it was running. This one run circles around any blow-dryer I've ever had, in the noise department. Highly recommended!I have very long hair with enough grade to make it not want to be straight and I'm able to also run a brush and a blow dryer through it to get most of the Waves out, easily. The blow-dryer has both multiple speeds and a cool warm and hot setting so it should easily be a comfortable blow dryer for anybody whether they are blow drying hard to dry hair or that of a small child with tender skin.

This replaced 4 yr old ION type Conair Hair dryer. High speed does not move the volume of air that the older one does. BUT, to get same would cost me around 50 to 60 bucks. Not complaining, just stating, incase you are reading. Does an excellent job of drying and styling my hair. 3rd use the, New Burn Stick smell has just about disappeared. Is light weight, for its size, does move enough air to get the job done. Have not had to use high heat, med works great ( probably saving a little electricity ). Fits well in my hand. Cord is plenty long. Reason for replacing older dryer ... about year and half ago, fan started making noises, rubbing on housing ???Did not affect the ability to dry, no smells. Just got more and more annoying. So, replaced it with this one. I am sure that these companies use same fans, motors and heaters in several different models. Just add a few different features or design. I have bought the less expensive and the 70 dollar ( no reason for a pro model ), all the fans and heaters seem to last about the same amount of time. Is way things are now. Anyway, this is a pretty good deal and I fully expect it to last at least 3 years.

I am newly natural and I was in need of a really good blow dryer. I needed one that worked extremely well and didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I found it with this. I have always been a fan of Conair products and have always had a really good experience with them. It was a little overwhelming finding this dryer, but eventually decided on it because of the previous reviews. I was excited to see that this came with a diffuser attachment (that's what I need most). It's nice that it came in a different color other than the normal black. It was really good to handle and the attachments were extremely easy to use. Sometimes with dryer attachments, they can come off easily and won't stay on securely. That was not the case with this dryer and attachments. It heated up pretty quickly. The only downside for me was the cooling option. I was expecting it to be more of a cool blast as opposed to a very light heated blast. I would definitely recommend this dryer for anyone looking for an inexpensive alternative.

I had the same blow dryer before and it lasted me 10+ yrs so when I found the same 1 on here I was happy! It dries my hair fast and is pretty hot but you also have different temperaturs if you don't like it as hot. Hopefully this lasts me as long as the other 1 did.

** UPDATE 5/2/2023 ** This hair dryer lasted 6 years, just like the last one. I just bought another Conair Style Shine. I did try another Conair model, the INFINITIPRO, but it was not as good as the Style&Shine. This really does leave your hair with volume and shine. The other Conair I tried did not, it had the opposite effect, believe it or not.I've been using this for 10 months now, no problems. They usually last a few years; the reason It's my favorite brand/style HD. My last Conair lasted about 6 years. I use it at least once a week, but usually it's used on a daily basis. I have long hair and I use it to straighten/smooth as well as dry, sometimes to curl with a metal brush. I've also used it to dry my cats after a bath, they love it too! It gets a lot of use.

I've used Conair hair dryers practically since I had hair, and I've always been satisfied with the products. I had my last one for 15 years and it was still working, but it was heavy and not great for traveling. So I moved that one to the guest bathroom and bought this one, and it may be the best Conair ever. It's lightweight. It has a complete range of settings. And it dries your hair fast. Also, as always, a great price.I have only a few brand loyalties--Hellman's, Subaru--and definitely Conair. This is a great product.

I had this dryer for years and when it finally died i thought i would never find it again but i did on amazon and it was half the price i had paid. I have had professional dryers and this works even better. The professionals are very heavy and very loud this is lightweight and not loud, has multiple heat settings a cool shot button and different speed levels. I highly recommend the conair 1875 hairdryer!! Love the purple color too!! Works great!!~ Wendy
