Just plain unscented talcum powder, which is hard to find.
This is perfectly normal talcum powder. You can put it on tires or on your skin. It's the same stuff. It doesn't smell like baby shampoo, or after-shave, or air freshener, or anything. In this age of unscented consumer products, why is unscented talc so hard to find?

and does not have a scent like baby powder
This is my second can of Rema Tire Talc. The first one lasted me over 30 years!Nothing special about it, except it is designed for bicycle tubes, and does not have a scent like baby powder.Baby powder has oils in it which is bad for rubber tubes as it draws the elastic agents out and slowly breaks down the tube.Rema Tire Talc is getting hard to find, and I'm glad Amazon had it.This one should last me another 30+ years.

warning to users: good product, questionable packaging
First off, if Amazon brought you here because you're looking for "talcum powder" – this product is for commercial/industrial use, for example making natural rubber inner tubes slippery so they can be fitted into tires properly. Not for use on the human body. Please. Now, for those of us working with rubber products: the powdered talc, as such, is perfectly useful. The packaging is a cardboard container with a pressed-in plastic top, which spins around and has a half-round slot and a group of 7 holes each about 1/4" diameter. These holes are very large relative to the talc so if you line up the holes with the opening (so you could shake the talc onto whatever you're working with) you get a LOT of talc at once. Which might be fine if you were working on truck tires or off-highway construction equipment, but for anything smaller you are liable to create a mess in the shop. The shaker dispenser for the talc I ran out of recently (no longer available as far as I can tell) had holes that were about 1/16" or less and worked much better. Also, as I discovered while cleaning up after first use of this product, the container leaks slightly after being opened, even with the spinner top carefully closed. And, needless to say I hope, when working with powdered talc adequate ventilation and a respirator are must-haves.So, nothing wrong with the contents, but this isn't exactly "ready-to-use" in small-scale situations. Now I'm going shopping for a better dispenser...

good value
real pure talc is hard to find. Good value, quick delivery. One minor issue that the seller fixed lightning fast.

A good unscented Talcum Powder for Natural Rubber Storage
The Rema Tire Talc is what I wanted, talcum powder in a can, with no additives. I use it for wetsuit/drysuit storage, and especially where parts use natural rubber for the seals. I've wanted a cheaper source for raw talc powder, and I suggest the Rema Tire Talc.

Perfect for tubes and tires.
Used it when installing a new tube and wheel on my Cessna 182. Does not contain the chemicals found in baby talcum, so won't bother the rubber. This one container will last a lifetime.

Great for tube repairs
Love this product for tube repairs. After patching I put the tube in a big ziplock with a little talc and shake. Helps prevent pinch flats and patches from rubbing. A little goes a long way!
