2004 album from the acclaimed British singer/guitarist, the follow up to his hugely successful Dancing Down the Stoney Road (2002), Although Rea scored a top 20 hit in the U.S. with 'Fool (If You Think It's Over)' in 1978 and has recorded many critically successful albums, much of his best material remains deleted or unreleased in the U.S. Like many artists of his caliber, he's held in great esteem and remains a top selling artist all over Europe. Because of his huge fan base, he has continued to concentrate on that region instead of trying to break the American market. Fortunately, there are still plenty of American fans who are devoted to the man and his music. Blue Jukebox, released on Rea's own label, features 13 tracks and includes a full color 20 page booklet of song lyrics and artwork. Jazzee Blue.

Chris Rea a Great Voice
I have always loved Chris Reas' deep and throaty voice. Ever since he recorded, "Fool if You Think Its Over," I have loved this man and his music. When my friend Barry went to the UK he asked me what he could bring me back. Some of Chris' CD's that I could not get here was my answer and he did bring them back for me.I love this mans' guitar playing as well he has a great persona at his concerts. I have several of his concerts on dvds. I love this mans music and I listen on my Iphone all the time in the city.

One of the best from Chris Rea
I'm a big fan of Chris Rea, and I like both his blues and rock songs. I have to say that this is the best Rea's album I've bought, and I have many!. Although this album had many melodies from previous ones, but it was so distinct in it's use of Saxphone. If you liked stoney road you will love this one.

Smooth R&B from Chris.
Chris does more Blues and R&B, this time with a smooth jazzy edge that works well.

Jazz blues
A negative review for Chris Rea. Why? Well I expect it is because this cd moved away from what one might associate with Chris Rea....it may be of liking to jazz enthusiasts, but it moved a bit too far south of my taste with the more improvisational sound associated with jazz.More to my taste;"Dancing With Strangers" is a good representation of early Chris Rea (and IMO very good) I would also recommend "The Blue Cafe" and "King Of The Beach" where you can get many good tunes that are not on his "best of" CD's.I am the only negative review, but I think these folks appreciate jazz a bit more than I do. I love the sax as a compliment to music and even though the sax in this cd was done well, it couldn't bring me up to 3 stars when compared to some other Chris Rea music that I have always enjoyed. maybe 2.5 stars. The sax work is beautiful, and Chris Rea is a unique musical talent.
