Great if you love spice
I recently tried a drink and the spice was the perfect amount- I asked what was used and found it on Amazon. This is a great spice. Not a lot is needed. I made the mistake of a few too many shakes and the spice was too much for me. But this just adds to the value.

Perfect for spicy margaritas
I love that you can build in intensity, a few dashes and I am good to go!

Who knew?
I went to a new restaurant and ordered a spicy margarita. They didn't do "rims" (as in salt) nor did they have jalapenos to muddle, but they used this and I was sold. I use it in my margs and bloody marys, anywhere I want to add a kick! Love this!

When the Jalapeño Margarita Mixers Fall Short…
…get Scrappy’s. Just received my fourth (?) order of this delightful jolt of spicy goodness today. I spent $13 on a new spicy margarita mixer when I was at Total Wine the other day. I checked the reviews online and the first few I scanned said it was great and spicy. Um….I am an Irish-American from Boston (though one who’s been obsessed with a spicy marg since 2012 when I first had one at Watertown’s now-defunct La Casa de Pedro and that mix isn’t spicy. In fact, I’ve had to add Scrappy’s to each margarita I’ve made to get it to be spicy.Scrappy’s is fantastic in a margarita, but also works well in some limeade and seltzer for an NA weeknight substitute.I’ve tried other purported “spicy” bitters (I’m looking at you, Hella) and nothing hits the mark like Scrappy’s.

good taste but not very strong
this stuff is good buy not as hot as they make it out to be. i used a very small bit as instructed and you could t even taste it in my drink. i ended up using at least a few tablespoons before i could even taste anything. the taste is great but it’s kind of expensive for the amount they give you.

Just the right amount of heat!
I add a few drops to my Cucumber Firewater Margarita.Scrappy's adds the right amount of heat for an additional flavor profile.Cucumber Firewater Margarita RecipeIngredients:3 English Cucumber slices1 oz of Lime Simple Syrup(squeeze juice from half of a lime, add 1/4 cup of water, 2 tsp of agave nectar, stir ingredients)2 oz. Milagro Silver Tequila (2 shots)(Don’t use cheap Tequila! You will regret it)1 oz. St Germain Elderflower Liqueur (1 shot)Kosher Salt / Cracked Black Pepper (mixed together)1 lime wedgeProcedure:Drop 3 cucumber slices in a cocktail shaker.Add Lime Simple Syrup and muddle well.(Muddling means to mash up the ingredients. You can buy a muddle stick at Liquor stores, Amazon or big box retailers)Add 2oz of Milagro Silver Tequila and 1 oz of St. Germain Elderflower Liquor to the cocktail shakerAdd 3 or 4 drops of Scrappy's Firewater.Fill cocktail shaker with ice, attach top of cocktail shaker and lid.Shake vigorously.Coat the glass rim with the lime wedge and lightly touch the Salt and Pepper mixture.Pour all contents of the cocktail shaker into the glass until mixture is just below the salt / pepper rim.DO NOT over pour!Squeeze and drop lime wedge into glassENJOY! :-)

🔥
Great spicy bitters. Can easily overwhelm a cocktail so use it sparingly if you’re working with delicate or subtle flavors. Works great as a quick way to make that Bloody Mary “extra spicy” or to make a spicy version of your House Margarita without needing to have chiles in your fruit caddy.
