Beginner's Review - THIS IS A WONDERFUL KEYBOARD
I got this during the Black Friday sale for WAY cheaper than they were originally selling it for. However, even if I had to buy it at full price, it would be worth every penny.Let me start off by saying that while this is far from the first mechanical keyboard I've typed on, it is the first that I've ever owned. I do a combination of typing and gaming, so I wanted something that would handle both pretty well. After a year of research on mechanical keyboards, key switches, key caps, car keys, key cards, keynotes, Key Largo, and any other key term I could think of, I settled on Cherry MX Blues. I've always loved the click on the mechanical keyboards I've used, and I read a lot of good things about Cherry keys (and for my first mechanical, I'm going all out). Blues could accommodate both typing and gaming, so I thought to give it a go.The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was the weight of the keyboard. After a lifetime of membrane boards, I wasn't expecting something that could be used as a defensive weapon against an alien invasion. After I lugged it over to my desk, I noticed that it actually needs 2 USB ports. I suspect one of these was to power the white backlighting (which looks awesome - really, who needs colors?), but thought it could potentially be a problem for some people until I found the USB port on the keyboard itself. The six programmable keys are wonderful, even though I haven't really used them yet. The clicking sounds SO GOOD, but you may want to spring for the MX Browns if you're not fond of the sound (which I am - can you tell?) or are easily annoyed. The switches are sturdy and the keys glide as you type. I have actually seen my typing speed improve (I think) as I use this keyboard, and the response time is wonderful on multiple video games. The only issue I have is not with the keyboard, but with my own bad habits. I always use the risers on the back because the keys seem to have a weird slant if I don't. However, I soon found that was because I've been typing wrong for a while. Your hands are supposed to bounce and your wrists are supposed to be up in the air. I always laid my wrists down, which probably accounts for some of my wrist issues. This keyboard has actually taught me to type correctly. It actually gives me better posture. I am not being sarcastic or unrealistic (like I usually am). I actually mean this. And as always, it's made by Logitech, so you know it'll be a quality piece of equipment.I haven't included every feature that's included in this keyboard, as I don't want to ruin all the surprises that will be included if you do decide to buy this. However, of all the keyboards I've typed on, I have to recommend this one. White lights mean no hype and Logitech means quality for a good price. I say get this. Simple as that.UPDATE - 3/31/16: My enter key has this strange point where it seems to stick and won't bottom out. It's after the actuation point, but it's there. Not a big problem.

Fantastic mechanical keyboard for the newbies and veterans alike.
UPDATE: I've since bought a second one of these. The first was the Cherry MX Blue version and the new one is the Brown version. I thought for sure that I would end up being a "cherry blue guy" but honestly after only 10 minutes with these keys I'm sold. Browns from here on out, they give the same tactile feedback if you are used to typing on blues just without the audible "click". Belvie me, if you live with other people, they won't appreciate your late night typing on blues! I still stand by my words that this is a fantastic mechanical keyboard and considering the super low price of the Brown version right now, it's a no brainer if you want a new board or just want to dive into the realm of mechanical keyboards. Also, for what it's worth; I've also tried some of those cheap Chinese/Korean knock off keyboards with the Alps style switches, and while they work good enough, there is nothing like typing on a Cherry key.The Logitech G710+ makes for a great first mechanical keyboard. At this price point you really won't find anything better once you consider it comes with Cherry MX Blues or Browns, has 6 macro keys, includes a 10 key and sports full multimedia controls; the only draw back I can think of would be if you are looking for a linear switches [Reds], which the G710+ does not come in. If you are looking for a keyboard that gives amazing tactile feedback accompanied by that satisfying 'click' sound the the Cherry MX Blues are going to be for you. MX Browns will give you the tactile feedback along with some audio feedback, but will be much less noticeable making for a quieter typing experience.[If you need a more in depth analysis I recommend you watch some of the videos from Linus Tech Tips on YouTube for more detail on sound and feel.]Pros :- Build Quality. This thing is built well and has a very solid feel/weight to it. Very little flex.- Functionality. Full keyboard, macro keys, multimedia controls.- All keys are on mechanical switches except media and record/bank select.- Comes with a wrist rest. While it's made of cheap plastic, most keyboards won't give you one at all and if you don't have a better one lying around; no worries.- LED back lighting- 4 brightness settings for LED back lighting, WASD brightness can be controlled separately.- Design, it's a sexy keyboard.- Logitech offers a complete cap replacement set for only $24- Caps could easily be replaced for custom ones from a shop like WASD.com- Comes with rubber o-rings, nice touch, easy to remove if you don't want them.- 3 year warranty- Logitech's amazing supportCons :- LED only comes in white. I've gotten used to it now, but still RGB would have been nice. Considering the price, I can;'t complain too much though.- Indicator lights for caps lock, numlock and scroll lock are a bit bright and can not be dimmed.- Quality control seems to be hit and miss according to forums, but the board is backed by a 3 year warranty, so that offsets it IMO, but it is something to be aware of. I myself had to exchange the first one I received because some of the switches weren't giving proper feedback, the 2nd one was flawless.- Dose not come with a key cap puller, they are only $6 so I would have really liked to see one included. **PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE YOUR CAPS WITHOUT A KEY CAP PULLER!!!**All in all a fantastic keyboard for the price. I love the Cherry MX Blues, I was a bit disappointed with the first board I received, but seeing how the 2nd one was flawless I chalked it up to luck of the draw and felt no need to knock a star off. If you are in the market for your first mechanical keyboard or want one with full functionality without needing to drop $180, the Logitech G710+ is worth your consideration.
