Nice. A bit pricey, but good stiff wire and resistor color code wire
I spent the extra $$$ on this because it seemed to be the only solderless breadboard wire kit on amazon I could find that used IEC color codes for the wire sizes, which is important when building a clean board; when the wire follows standard color codes, it's easy to know which wire will fit precisely between two board positions. If I need to connect points that are: 3 positions apart? orange wire. 2 positions apart? red. etc. Makes assembly quick and decreases "off-by-one" mistakes. Good for professional clean work. The case seems fine: the hinge is a true rotating hinge, not a "bending plastic" hinge that is subject to fatigue over time. These rotating hinges look like they'll last just fine. The wire is definitely stiff and NOT "noodley" which is good; some wire kits have thinner gauge wire that bend too easily when sticking them into stiff prototyping boards.Pics included show: (1) the entire kit, (2) color coded wire uses resistor color code for breadboard unit sizes, (3) closeup of box's non-fatigue rotating hinge, (4) closeup of one of the two lid latches; use thumb/forefinger on each hand to twist open both latches at same time. For me, worth the bit of extra cost for the stiff, color coded wire.

I loved the idea that they were all color coated
The case these wires come in really help with the organization. it is also very durable and wont open up and spill its contents when it falls on the ground. I loved the idea that they were all color coated, this way it was easy to identify which to use. If they didn't meet the required length, bending them into chap was of no problem at all. You also get quite a lot of wire from this single purchase as well as having them be all straight. This is a really great project if you dont want your wires to be all over the place or if you are just starting out.

Fantastic for price (although they get bent out of shape weirdly easily)
They don't like to hold their shape as much as other wire I've purchased, so that's a downside. But for the price, this is still an awesome kit, and I would definitely buy it again. The small and tiny sizes are just awesome, and they're especially useful with a breadboard. My breadboards are pretty small, so I just love these.

Break as soon as you use them
The ends of these wires break off while they're stuck in your breadboard. Every green wire broke the first time I used them. Completely worthless and a waste of money.

Nice set, nice box, wire is very stiff.
These are nice little pre-cut jumpers. The case they come in is nice and there is a good assortment of sizes for the money. These are solid wire (not stranded) and very stiff. It's great if when you have a jumper that fits exactly for your breadboard spacing, otherwise some "encouragement" is needed to bend the wires to fit.UPDATE: Someone asked me to post the lengths of the wires included and that's when I actually counted them. My kit only has 13 wires, not 14. I'm not sure if it's the same kit and the description is wrong, or if Amazon is stocking/shipping the wrong kit. In looking closer my storage box looks like it's missing a compartment compared to the product photo. The wires that are in the kit work well, but the product description is potentially misleading. Here are the measurements of the wires in the kit I received:* Red sm: 1/8"* Yellow sm: 5/16"* Orange sm: 1/4"* Green sm: 1/2"* Blue: 9/16"* Dk. Purple: 5/8"* Grey: 11/16"* White: 13/16"* Lt. Purple: 1"* Red: 2" (measured 1 7/8")* Orange: 4"* Yellow: 5"* Green: 6"

Very nice kit but not exactly as pictured.
This is a very nice kit but, as other's have pointed out, it's not exactly as pictures. If you look at the product picture, the difference between that and the actual product can be described by saying the left-most small compartments from top to bottom (the column with the label over it) is not included with the product. Mine has 9 small compartments, one large compartment(the same length as 4 small compartments together) and one medium compartment (the same length as 3 small compartments) for a total of ten compartments.I see complaints that the box is lousy but mine is quite rugged. Perhaps there has been a change to the product. It's a very thick, tough, and flexible plastic not the brittle type of plastic that breaks easily. Yes, it is a milky color and not clear as someone have complained but I don't see that as a problem. After all, when you are choosing a jumper, you have to open the box anyway. That complaint is trivial and nit-picking, IMO.My kit was packed very well and I received it in two days. When I opened it, I was happy because other's have complained that the jumpers were all mixed up buy mine appeared to be just about perfect. However, with closer inspection, I see that some of the very small jumpers are mixed up a bit. I don't see that as a big issue. I will have that sorted out in just a few minutes. However, it would have been nicer if each different size had it's own compartment. The large and medium compartments have two different lengths of jumpers in each compartment but, because they are color coded, that's no problem. But it would have been nice if he very smallest jumpers each had their own compartment. There would have to be one more compartment for that. There are 13 different lengths of jumpers fitting in 9 compartments. But the only minor issue will be with the two smallest jumpers sharing the same compartment. Of course, you could separate those and put two of the longer jumpers together which would probably be a good idea.All-in-all, I am very happy with the kit. I should say that I haven't used them in a breadboard yet so I cant' comment on how they fit yet. But they are nice and stiff and should be easy to work with as long as the lengths are correct.

very good and convenient
This jumper wire kit is very helpful. The length variety is good for breadboard wiring. I searched for several other wire kits before I decided to buy this one. People are complaining that the wire of other kits is not strong enough. But this kit has no such issue. Highly recommended.
