6ft. 3.5mm Male-to-Male Stereo Cable - Good Value
Pros:- Long Cable Length makes it easy to reach 2nd row seating in automobile.- Cable Connectors appear to be Sturdy.- Cables are Thicker Gauge.- Good Sound Quality through Cables.- Low Cost.Cons:- Cables are Stiff at Temperatures below 10 C.- Cable length may be too much for use in just the front row seating in an automobile.I purchased these Male-to-Male cable connectors to interface MP3 or Cell Phone players with the sound system in an automobile (Van). They work very good for that. The 6ft. length long enough to reach 2nd row seating or to the edges of the passenger compartment without problems. 3ft cables are just too short for that. These cables are heavy gauge with sturdy connectors. I have not owned them long enough to state that they will last a long time but they feel sturdy. Nothing is loose. The connector ends are chrome plated, not gold plated. IMO, for most applications (like in automobiles), chrome is superior for durability over gold even though there may be some signal loss over gold plating. If you repeatedly plug-in/plug-out of the jack, chrome is superior to gold for wear resistance. The downside for these cables is that they are not flexible at temperatures below 5-10 C.. If you use these in an environment where it gets cold, there is some possibility that the casing on the cables may crack over time. The price of these cables was very low such that you can afford to purchase several and keep a spare handy in case that occurs. Just be sure to warm up the spare before using it.Another potential disadvantage is that these cables are potentially too long such that they "get in the way" for just front seat automobile use. The length of these cables makes them good for 2nd row use, or when placing the music player in a position on the outer doors of the front row passenger compartment. The length of these cables gets in the way if you put the music player on the dash or front console. Get a shorter cable for that.In conclusion, I recommend these cables if you need that little extra length a 3ft. cable does not provide. These cables appear to be well made and sturdy. The cost is low enough that you can buy several as spares in case one breaks in a very cold environment.

Works and lasts a decent while for the price.
I first bought this cable back in June of 2010 (thin version). It lasted me a good while. It recently began to act as if it had a short in it near the end of last month (Aug.) . I tied a knot in it and got another couple working days out of it ( I know its sad!) Surprisingly even though I have to shake the old one a little to get it to work it still works. That's not too bad for the $3 with shipping, I paid for it back then. Its held up to being stepped on,caught in the door, and various other snafoos where you think your clearing the cord and oops!I recently buckled down and bought a new one in Aug of 2011. I actually paid a cheaper price (go figure!) I was presently surprised when I received the cable and noticed it was a lot thicker than the older model. I'm not rough with my 3.5mm cable but you know you have those every now and then snafoos. Luckily this cable works perfectly. Although I hear a static noise every now and then when I plug it into aux in my car radio. It may be the player I'm using since its a refurbished mp3 player. Other than that sound and clarity of my music is spot on just like the last cable. Plus its a long enough length to stretch where I need it but not overly long where I feel like I'm being attacked by cables. If your looking for a cheap 3.5mm cable to use for aux or any other device you need to connect try this one out.

Perfect! Just what I needed!
I had one of these cables that I bought at Target for like $15 and despite being some premium brand, it was absolute junk! After a few months it was acting up and I had constantly get up and fix and adjust the cable because the sound would only come out of one speaker! I held up on buying a new one because I didn't want to drop another $15 bucks. But then I came across this gem and saw it was only $1.04!!!!!!!! WOW!! Not to mention free shipping too! I couldn't resist buying it on the spot. Its a generic cable, and it shipped from Hong Kong. Well it took FOREVER to get here and finally after about an entire month of waiting it arrived. It came in a little bubble-wrap lined envelope. The sound so far is good. If you don't mind the wait, its totally worth it, considering you don't have to pay to have it shipped to the other side of the planet. Again, its only one dollar. Might as well buy two while you're at it.

LIfe Saver and Works Great!
So I lost my audio cable for my car and went to Walmart and Target looking for this one peice of cable and no one had it. I wanted to get back to listening to my Zune through my car speakers, and was upset that I could not find this cable. Alas, I considered Amazon (the only reason I didn't search Amazon first, was because I did not want to wait for the item to be shipped, I wanted the cable that same day). How happy I was to find that Amazon had exactly what I needed, and for a real steal too (price was much cheaper when I compared it to other sites). I am happy with it and it has not let me down. Sound quality is great and it is durable. It is a little too long for my needs, but I just tuck the extra cord away in the cup holder. Fits my Zune, my cell phone, my mom's MP3 player, and my son's cell phone (different cell phone than mine) and my portable satellite radio with no problems!

Seems to work great for me!
I'm not sure what happened with everyone else's cords, but the two 6 feet cables that I ordered work perfectly well still and I've had them for two years now. Maybe the quality varies, maybe they send different cords with each order depending on what's in stock, who knows. I received two good quality cords for a very inexpensive price and they have lasted me 2 years, so I'm happy. Sound quality was great, I have no unwanted noise and no problems with the cord not fitting well into ANY of the devices I had it plugged into... Car auxiliary, ipod headphone jack, samsung s 3, my laptop, etc. All worked great and both cords still sound the same as they first did. Like I said, the quality obviously varies between different orders and buyers experiences, which is ridiculous for a product that has no reason not to be consistent, but for 2 dollars and free shipping, what do you expect.
