this works exactly like it is supposed to. the quality is good, the packaging is sufficient. It doesn't look very modern for such a high tech piece of equipment.

Works very well w/ Axis cameras. Needs more video source options
I use this product with an Axis P1344, and it works great. Very reliable. Image is excellent. Never had an issue. Would buy it and recommend it without hesitation.My only gripe... it is an expensive device. Given the price, it should have more flexible options for configuring a video source. For example, you cannot provide a URL for any RTSP stream as far as I could figure out. The upshot is that you cannot easily use the decoder with devices that weren't made by Axis.
