Pomegranate Molasses (Sultan) 9.5fl.oz

I had some on my pancakes this morning and loved it.It's a very unexpected taste and, if you like something different now and then, this will be for you.I am anxious to try it on many different things.

I live in the suburbs, but like cooking a variety of ethnic recipes to the best of my ability.The gating factor is often being able to acquire specialized ingredients like this.I am very grateful that I AM able to mail-order such things!I also got a few more items... and still the postage cost rather more than the cost of the items, though they were all liquids in glass bottles, and they did a WONDERFUL job of wrapping and packing them securely. Since the items are not available locally- even doubling the price with the shipping is a better deal than not being able to get them at all! And the packing was wonderful. Still- paying more for shipping than for the stuff shipped is a bit of an OUCH, even though it's realistic now with such things.

I bought this to make a traditional Iranian dish called Fesenjan. It's a very simple dish of ground walnuts, chicken, onion and pomegranate molasses. The flavor was out of this world fantastic. The product arrived quickly and in good condition. It adds a gentle sweetness to the dish without being "fruity." If you are thinking about trying some new recipes that call for this molasses, give it a try. You will love it. In fact, I need to order more as my family loved the fesenjan so much, I have to make it often!

The pomegranate molasses arrived on time and in good condition. I encountered this as an ingredient in a Mollie Katzan cookbook and it did not disappoint. We thinned it just a little with warm water and used it as a side sauce for roasted asparagus at a barbecue, and got many rave reviews from our guests, vegetarian and non-vegetarian alike. I recommend both the vendor and this item.

I've had pomegranate molasses before but this brand is fantastic! It's a perfect blend of tart and sweet. Great for pork, lamb and chicken. Love it!

Expensive and tasted terrible. Will try other recipes that need this ingredient.

At first, I didn't like the taste of pomegranate molasses. It's rather tangy and really not very sweet. However, I added some to a stew I made and everyone seemed to like it alot. I may become a convert!
