Not just a food/high chair mat!My mom once said she used to put a tarp under my sister and I when we were eating in the high chair and I thought she was crazy until I had my own kids. This is a great idea!!!!Good for every meal or just the messy ones. It’s plenty big, but not excessive. But what I like the best is the grip. It has the sticky like a bathroom rug or grippy slippers. It’s not super thick so it can be washed with other stuff and not take up too much room in the washer. Maybe the space in your washer like a large towel. It is made of good material keeping your floors/surfaces clean and allowing you to do a quick wipe off and use again without fully washing.But my favorite part of what I realized is this will be great for arts and crafts activities as well as picnics. Use it to cover your table so the markers or paints don’t get all over or use it for a play mat at the park. It’s way easier to wash then a blanket or picnic mat. Totally worth it!!!

We keep this under the high hair in our dining room. It looks good, we like the gray pattern.I was surprised with how thin it is, but I guess thats nice for easy folding and storing when not needed.Quality seems good so far.. easy to wipe clean, I vacuum over it, and have thrown it in the washer a few times with no issues. I don’t think it really “sticks” to the ground but we don’t mind the corners flipping up sometimes.

Just what we needed. Have 3 grandchildren ages 3,2, and almost one. Easy way to keep floor clean. Or get a dog!! LOL

Nice size. Couple of drawbacks. Firstly, while the kids like the bright and colorful animals, the design sometimes makes it difficult to see food that’s been dropped unless you get down on the floor and wipe it. Secondly, the best way to clean this between machine washes is to use a double sided kitchen sponge to wipe/scrub off spilled food. Using a paper towel is futile, because the textured nature of the material resists being wiped with a paper towel type material. It does wash well in the washing machine on delicate cycle, and I always air dry it on a clothes drying rack.

My babies are older teenagers now so I did not purchase this for a human in a high chair. I use it for my 3 fur babies when they come in and have quiet time on a rug in our family room. I always put down towels to keep the hair off my nice rug, but in the rainy season, the towels just get wet. Plus the towels are old beach towels so they were brightly colored and did not match my décor. Enter the anti-slip, washable splat mat. It is big enough to cover my rug in one piece (instead of 3 towels), and the gray color is muted and matches my décor. The splat keeps all the hair and wet off my rug and surrounding floor, and is SO easy to clean! I just shake off the hair outside and wipe it down with a rag. My rug stays clean, my house looks nice, and my dogs are happy. Plus, the backside grips the rug so that it doesn't slip all over the place when the dogs walk on it. I love this mat! Highly recommend!

I bought this mat back in 2019 and it still looks brand new! These days it's used in the living room when my kids want to eat in there. I have a new baby and I plan to use it under the new highchair.

I was excited to get this because we currently rent and there’s carpet everywhere. I have a leather splat mat that I keep in the play room and it cleans super well but I wanted something that was a bit cheaper that could just stay under the booster seat at the table. I like how I can easily fold this splat mat to fit where I need it if I can’t just lay it out completely. Another pro is that this splat mat is water resistant.Some of the cons, and why I only gave it 3 stars, is that it is not easy to clean. I’ve used paper towels, kitchen towels, and hand towels and none of them fully get the food marks off. The description said this was machine washable, so I stuck it in the washer & air-dried it to try and get the food marks off but that didn’t help. The marks were still there after washing it so it still looks dirty. I also noticed that the top of the mat is starting to tear on one of the corners. Like I said before, I only use this under the booster seat at the table and will occasionally move it to the living room to put under the kids table if I’m giving my toddler a snack. So I’m not sure how durable this item is since it is already showing signs of wear and tear and I’ve only had it for a few weeks. Overall, this splat mat works and keeps the food off the carpet and is a good price, but I cannot get it to look clean and wiping food up off of it is not easy because of the material. I wish I would have spent a little more money on a different mat.

I have large cats, and they prefer litter boxes with open tops. The only problem with that is that there's a risk of someone "overshooting", if their butt is hanging over the edge when they do their business. I previously had a black mat, marketed for use in garages, but the top was a felt material, so not easy to clean, and it wasn't meant to be machine washed. I like that this mat is a slick material, because I feel it will be easy to just sweep off the litter, and it's machine washable. The grippy dots on the back are very nice to keep it in place, also. My only complaint is that the edges curl up a bit, but that's a minor concern. I also appreciate how large this mat is, it can fit my two large litter boxes with plenty of room on every side. A win, for sure!
