Cheap and functional. Highly recommended.
I’m honestly super impressed. It was really easy to apply—just a bit of measuring, cutting, and smoothing it on. No fancy tools needed, and it stuck perfectly without any bubbles once I got the hang of it.The difference it makes is amazing. It blocks out all the light, which has been a game-changer for sleeping in, especially on bright mornings. It also keeps the room cooler, which I didn’t expect but definitely appreciate. Plus, it adds a nice bit of privacy without having to mess with heavy curtains or blinds. If you’re looking for an easy, affordable way to darken a room and add some privacy, I’d totally recommend giving this blackout film a shot. It’s one of those simple upgrades that makes a big difference.

Total blackout!
The bubble size of the product is good. I was very surprised by the quality. It allows for enhanced privacy. The ease of installation is above and beyond, it offers lines printed on the back side so it can be cut easily. This product looks great. Great buy!

Effective Blackout Solution with a Few Hitches
I have mixed emotions with this VELIMAX Static Cling Total Blackout Window Film. It works as advertised, almost complete blackout. I measure and went edge to edge almost perfectly. Was able to peel off and reposition with the little bit of overlap on one side of the window. I checked on it a few days after installation, I’m not sure if it shrinks or it moved. Now there is a tiny gap on 3 sides of my window. Not a deal breaker. I ran out and had to buy a 2nd roll for the last panel of my window.Pros:-Easy installation.-Easy to remove bubbles.-Easy to reposition.-Easy to remove and try again.Con:-Removing that static protective barrier. It was a nightmare. Tried different methods and ended up taking it to work for a big work surface to remove the static barrier. In the end, cutting the corner trying to remove the barrier from there seemed to work best. The film peeled off in strips or chucks. There was only one cut piece where the whole barrier came off in one piece. Now the 2nd roll seems to make my con a lie. The static barrier came right off with ease. No cutting corners, cussing, or using a roll of double-sided tape (yes a full roll) to help. Both cut pieces were very easy. So maybe it was the length? Because the 2nd roll was shorter than the 1st roll I ordered? The VELIMAX Static Cling Total Blackout Window Film is an effective solution for light blocking, offering easy installation and reusability. While it excels in darkening rooms, the installation can be challenging due to the static protective barrier. There may be some inconsistency in product quality. Overall, it's a good buy for those seeking a temporary and adjustable blackout solution, but keep in mind the potential need for adjustments over time.

Works great; I used black electric tape to secure it
Life-changing! I’m a vampire who works from home all night and sleeps during the day. I mostly dwell in the basement which serves as my study, tv room and bedroom. There are three small windows in the basement and I used this on all of them. The directions say to cut one inch larger than you need so you can wedge the film into the edges of the frame with a plastic card to secure the film better...but my windows have airtight frames so this ended up being more of a hassle when it came time to cut the excess film. Your windows may be different. I had a hard time getting a perfectly straight cut with a utility knife once the film was misted and placed. The knife also slipped a few times and scratched my window frames. User error. Maybe I should have used a straightedge of some kind. For me it was easier to just cut the film to the exact dimensions I needed and then place it. Also, a tip that may help you: I decided to tape the edges with black electric tape since I’m putting blinds over the windows anyway. It bonds securely to the film + frame and eliminates any leaking light along the edges due to imperfect cuts but also should help keep the film in place. Time will tell. It’s now pitch black in my basement and my body has no idea what time of day it is...which is great because the sun is my kryptonite and it renders me useless. In theory it should also be cooler in the summer now since the film is deflecting the sunlight. also no more glare on my TV. I should have done this ages ago.TLDR; great value for money. Give it a try.*Update: So the electric tape didn't hold as well as I had hoped. I reinforced it with black Gorilla Tape. I'll probably be cursing myself when/if it comes time to remove it...but it should do the trick for now.

Almost perfect
I used this on 2 different windows/glass panes and it does totally blocks the sun, but it is so hard to get a good clean cut even with an Exacto knife. The edges want to tear. It is pretty expensive too so I will not be reordering it.

It's great! Cling stays in place.
This stuff is awesome! It really stays on. I used it to line my curio case because it was mirrors and I didn't like the reflection of my Uranium glass. The black back really makes the glow from my Uranium items glow and pop! I just used some windex and it was really easy and no problems with bubbles or crinkles. It's been over a week and the cling has not fallen at all. I normally don't write reviews, but after seeing a few negative reviews saying the cling doesn't stay up, I thought I'd let others that it's working great for me! I gave it a 1 star for sheerness because it's not sheer at all. It's totally black and good quality.
