I have received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. I love trying new products and I feel that not all brands are created equal. I received this item rather quickly and I am rather impressed with it. The capsules are not to hard to swallow and I did not taste anything. I think I didn't taste anything due to the small pill size and I swallowed it quickly. I chose this product to help out my fertility. I have irregular cycles and have been trying to conceive for over 8 years. I am 27 and was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I have tried many over the counter herbs and medicines and so far very few supplements work to help my cycles. I'm not exactly sure how to write this. I don't think the issues I have had when taking DHEA are because of the particular product (I used another brand years ago). But the fact is, that each time I have tried it, I get sick. After trying this time, I have decided that it is just not something that works well for me. I thought people should be aware that this is a risk. I increased my dose very slowly, (starting with half a tablet), and only made it up to one half one day and a whole the next before I decided I needed to stop. (I'm now taking down the dose slowly).When taking DHEA, both years ago and now, I become so focused on whatever task I am doing that I forget to take food of the stove. Or I have increased anxiety. I also found that I get terrible headaches.So, I can't say anything particularly bad about this specific product, but a general warning about DHEA.

I read about DHEA in Julia Ross' The Mood Cure. At first I was reluctant to try it because of warnings that in excess it can cause chin whiskers and aggression (insult to injury for this menopausal woman going through hot flashes!) However, the hot flashes, sleeplessness and anxiety finally helped me overcome fear of facial hair and I bought it along with some Black Cohosh which I had tried before and 5 HTP. Fast forward about 4 weeks and the hot flashes are nearly completely gone (down from a high of about 12 per day) and I've had some other pleasant side effects that I won't go into on this family friendly website but suffice it to say I'm happier and so is my husband. Ahem.Give it a try! At worst you might end up as the bearded lady in a macho pro-wrestling match. At best you might be relieved of symptoms suffered as a result of the lack of hormonal balance and a happier marriage!

DHEA levels requires a blood test. I am tested twice a year for my DHEA levels because I had brain surgery & radiation, so my body doesn’t make it anymore. This is NOT something to play around with. It can cause heart palpitations etc. If you haven’t had an actual blood test showing you need this, don’t take it. As with everything, talk to your doctor first, before taking.
