JOBSTIt Stays! Roll-On Body Fixative 2 oz

I developed lymphedema from just below my knees to my feet in both legs, as the result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. This condition is not fun, to say the least - and having to worry about sagging "garments" sliding down one's shins is just one more PIA aspect of lymphedema that is uncomfortable, adds to the "self-conscious" factor of this condition, and negates the medical effectiveness of the garments.After muscling through three-plus months of thrice-a-week decongestion therapy and twice daily compression pump sessions, and having my legs wrapped in multiple layers of bandages and foam rubber 24/7 for the same amount of time, I was so excited to finally be out of the wrapping phase and into my garments. However, I quickly discovered that even custom garments such as I have start to slide South eventually. (Okay, it's not a huge deal in the grand scheme of medicine, but it's very frustrating and it precludes the stockings from doing what they're designed to do!) When I mentioned this issue, my wonderful OT at the lymphedema clinic where I had treatment recommended "It Stays" Body Adhesive.This stuff is great! My stockings definitely stay in place with a quick application of the adhesive. I just take a quick swipe all the way around my leg right below where the silicone band of the stockings hits, and then pat the stocking in place. The rollerball applicator works very well; there's no mess at all (your fingers never come into contact with the adhesive and it doesn't run or "glop up"), and the adhesive dries quickly (but not so quickly that I don't have time to get the stocking in place). I haven't experienced any problems with the bottle leaking that were reported by some of the previous reviewers - whether that's just luck or the company has fixed the bottle I have no idea. I have sensitive skin, and I haven't had any issues in that regard, either. The adhesive is easily removed with water and soap, and has not stained any of my clothing orI had a lot of problems with the "toeless" lymphedema stockings sliding up my foot this summer; next year I plan to use the It Stays adhesive to see if I can properly anchor the stockings to each foot right below the base of my toes. Based on how well it works to hold the top band in place, I have high hopes that it will serve me well in this capacity, too. Knowing that I'll likely be able to wear sandals and flip flops next summer because I'll be able to make the toeless stockings "work" makes me happy!I purchased a single bottle this time to try it out; next time I will probably purchase the three bottle box. A single two-ounce bottle will be depleted relatively quickly - my estimate at this point is that it will last maybe a three months. My purchase was through Prime, and - as always - I received the product in just a couple of days.Look ,,, lymphedema can be inconvenient, painful, ugly, and just an overall PIA. As of now, there's no non-invasive fix for it, and even the surgical fixes are not guaranteed to work. "It Sticks" isn't a miracle product - you will still have a chronic condition. But any product that can help make life more pleasant and a little easer to navigate is definitely a good thing!

This is - truly - one of the most useful accessories I have ever purchases. I bought a bottle, and for reference I received the Jobst adhesive and not the IT Stays adhesive (I do not know if there is truly any difference), and all I have to say is WOW! So far, I have only used it to keep up thigh-highs, but it functions so well I am consistently thinking of new ways to use it, especially as spring comes up and I will have job interviews soon. Hate constantly having to tuck your button-down shirt into your pants/skirt? Low-cut tops you must remember to hold up every time you bend over? Tight pencil skirts that ride up? Bra straps falling down your t-shirt sleeves?And it really does work, and certainly lasts! I have worn thigh highs without any elastic as high as they will go through the day and night, and they only came off when purposefully removed (even through some sweaty activities).I will also note I have not had comfort issues with this adhesive except when attempting to re-wear thick socks the next day after removing. Perfectly comfortable the first time (although you can certainly feel it tug on your skin when you bend into a position that would otherwise pull them right down, that just tells you it's doing it's job), after removing the adhesive leaves a "crust" on the fabric that, unless washed off, is VERY uncomfortable if you re-adhere it to your skin. This is accentuated with thick, wooly fabrics. Luckily, it comes off in the wash and does not stain at all.Also when applying try to only put it on where the fabric will sit. If it gets on exposed skin it will pick up lint and make you look rather fuzzy! Although for minor mishaps a quick rub with a damp thumb will be enough to remove it.Overall, A+ product, really one of my most useful "accessories" ever purchased! I wish I had found this years ago when I first discovered above-the-knee garments.

The product works well and is easy to use. The strength of the adhesive is sufficient but it lacks in integrity when exposed to any moisture. I know the product upfront says it’s water soluble but designing the product to be a little more resistant would be nice.

This product is amazing!! I used this about 30+ years ago when I had varicose veins due to my pregnancy. My mom used it for her wigs after chemo and it was that extra safeguard she needed because she was afraid the wig could fall off. Wonderful product!
