A Wonderful Tool for Serious Study
In many ways, this Greek New Testament is my dream product. First, to be clear, the hardcover format is the Nestle-Aland 28th edition, not the 27th. Some reviewers were noting this product was the 27th, but it appears that was the Kindle edition. This print edition is the 28th.The book is a rather odd shade of blue but it makes it distinctive. The cloth binding looks sturdy enough, though I am not sure how the spine is going to hold out with continuous use.The contents of this Greek New Testament are amazing. Following prefaces on the Greek New Testament and the ESV, the text begins. On the left is the Greek text with a textual apparatus at the bottom of the page. On the right hand side of the page are the exact verses of the Greek side but in the English Standard Version. This makes for an ideal study format, as the Greek can be compared to the English without flipping pages. The textual apparatus is helpful for an at a glance rendering of basic textual variants. The fact that the textual apparatus is there makes for a generous amount of blank space on the right hand side of most pages. This can be utilized for note taking, grammatical observations or even teaching outlines. The only drawback I can see on this edition is the thickness of the pages. They are much too thin for my liking, so that there is a lot of bleed through from the previous page. Note taking will almost certainly require a pencil or low-volume ink pen, as anything with too much ink will spoil the other side of the page. A paper more like that in the UBS4 Greek New Testament Reader's Edition would have been ideal, but few products have everything. This New Testament is a useful tool I will enjoy in the days to come.

Helpful Learning Tool for Second Year Greek Students
This review is for the printed version. As a Greek student with the knowledge gained from a year of beginning Greek (Mounce), I have found this Greek-English New Testament very helpful in taking my Greek further along. Before acquiring this, I was (and still am) using a Reader's Greek New Testament, which is great in so many ways. However, I found myself, after translating a section, going to an English translation to compare and check my personal translation. Back and forth between the two testaments I would go. With this Testament, I can translate and then immediately check my work. This works much better, in my opinion, than an interlinear (English translation below the Greek), as an interlinear makes it too easy to cheat while doing your translating. This Testament is also helpful as a student during church services (sermons, class, etc.), as it makes it very easy to follow along with the English text, but then being able to easily check the underlying Greek text.I gave this 5 stars, based upon the layout of the texts, the quality and size of the Greek and English text, the quality of the paper and the use of the latest Nestle-Aland text and for using the ESV. I'm ignoring the cover; I'm not a fan of cloth covered books. My perfect Greek NT, for learning purposes, would a Reader's GNT on one page and a modern English translation on the opposite page. Similar to this version, except removing the apparatus at the bottom and instead listing Greek vocabulary used 30 times or less in the Greek text.

Extremely Pleased.
I have been long awaiting this particular Bible due to my purchase of its Hebrew (BHS) counterpart back in May. After reading some of the other reviews my hopes were a little dampened, but I just received this item today and I was refreshingly surprised! First of all, both the Greek and the English text is a great size. I personally cannot handle small fonts and the fonts here are not only large, but clear. The apparatus also has a very readable font and is easy to navigate. The margins are a fair size and, in my opinion, do not really become cramped toward the binding. Some reviewers had said the paper is far too thin, but after having worked with the Crossway ESV BHS Bible (where THAT paper is very very thin) this paper feels quite durable. Would I take a gel pen to the paper? Probably not, but I almost always use pencils in Bibles anyway. The paper is artic-white, durable, and a good size. The ESV portion of the page (on the right) leaves comfortable margin space for note taking, diagramming, etc., It does not provide very many footnotes, but that is fine because you should not need very many footnotes if you are working in the original Greek with the critical apparatus anyway. Overall I am extremely pleased with this product and it was definitely worth the money and wait!

Missing Matthew 12:21
The media could not be loaded. This is a great bible except for the fact that it (along with a bunch of other bibles) is missing verse 21 in matthew 17. I thought this being a greek translation that it wouldn’t have all it was intended to have, there is no telling what other verses could be missing.

Great Bible/Study Resource
This Bible is a must for those looking to take their studies to the next level. This ESV New Testament Interlinear Bible is great. It features the original Greek manuscript for each book and underneath each Greek word the most accurate English translation. Then in the margins it shows the translation that the ESV scholars decided to go with. This Bible won't feature any introductions, reference columns, or a concordance, but those things are easily found in the ESV Study Bible also published by Crossway. This Bible is really intended to be a resource for students of the Bible looking to dig deeper into the meaning of its life changing words and message. The quality of the Bible is great. I love the hardcover and the binding is Smyth sewn. Definitely recommend for your personal library or as a gift to someone you may know.
