I've had this product since early 2019 fitted to the very weather expose farm gate on our rural homestead. It has performed flawlessly over these years no matter the weather: snow, sleet, rain, ice, heatwave from -20c to +40c, baked or frozen, it just worked.Until it didn't and stopped opening in June 2024. This was Not the biggest disaster though as the Topens A5 allows for manual opening, even if you have the wireless remote lock fitted. One turn of the key to set to manual and then use the lock key to open the gate.That said when I contacted Topens support, well that proved to be something I've not experienced these days. Their agent Zack was unbelievable!!! Within no time at all he provided not only the troubleshooting to verify the cause, but a direct link to the parts for order (very low cost too), he provided the step by step, full colour pictures, instructions on how to effect the repair. He became my single point of contact for this issue and kept an update on my progress ensuring my fullest satisfaction on a fix.I do not usually give praise for things I pay for, especially customer service these days. This has been the exception! I have not experienced such proactive, well thought out processes and real support in decades. The only poor part of the whole experience was waiting on the now usual poor delivery experience from Amazon: Royal Mail would have been MUCH faster and cheaper.My congratulations to Topens for demonstrating their belief in Quality of Service, and this was for a 5 year old product that now continues to work perfectly once again!!!

I recently installed the TOPENS A5 Electric Swing Gate Opener Kit, the ET24 Automatic Electric Gate Lock, and the DPS180-U Waterproof AC 110V-240V to DC 24V Power Supply. The installation instructions were comprehensive and clear for the DIY person. I also found the TOPENS support staff to be very helpful when I had occasion to email them for advice. The system itself works well on my relatively large wooden farm gate, for which the A5 unit seems more than powerful enough and is straightforward to use. I highly recommend this gate opening system as a good value for money solution for automating a driveway gate.

Very clear instructions, easy to assemble. I had to fabricate a bracket for my gate as it's one of those metal gates which has quite narrow bars but a quick trip to B&Q for some 6mm rolled steel and I was able to attach the gate bracket securely. Initially I had it in the wrong place so the gate opened too much, but the support team helped me within 24 hours and I realised my error.The wireless remote works well and although there were batteries in the packaging, the remote was already batteried up and paired with the control unit.It looks daunting but if you're a confident and competent DIYer, it's really easy to wire up and install. Very pleased :)

Bought the mover, external power supply and extra key fobs. All arrived earlier than anticipated and well packaged.Instructions are "okay" if you have a little electrical knowledge.Biggest downside is the terrible design of the main control box. For some crazy reason the cable apertures are in the lid rather than the base, and there is very little excess space for the cables to coil up in the box itself.I would recommend using a g clamp to temporarily fix the end of the actuator to the gate until you have tested the system to ensure your positioning is good before drilling the gate.Function is really good, seems to work from a good distance and action is smooth, quiet and reasonably quick. The stalling force seems to be a bit high even on the lowest setting, but I haven't tested it properly yet.Overall an excellent product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Recently fitted to a large farm gate at bottom of the driveway. Heavy gate handled very well. Easy to fit, quiet operation - very pleased. I had initial problem that was dealt with immediately which turned out to be my wiring problem. Would definitely recommend. Certainly can’t fault it and such a good price.

Mine arrived with Brocken limit switch so had to glue switch in position.Erratic stopping not quite the same every time Evan when force potentiometer is full up to combat wind.Arm on full extent buckles like a knee joint which don’t look great and leads me to think it won’t last long. Bought as a test but not that impressed already.Electronics work well and connections simple enough.

Fitted the opener and worked well until a couple of weeks ago and the gates started opening only 18” and stoppedI reached out to Topens support email and they responded by return and Zack suggested a series of tests to help identify the issue and it was thought that the control board needed replacing and they sent it next day via Amazon we fitted it and still had the same issue we deduced it could be the Topens 24volt transformer so I ordered one from Amazon it arrived next day we fitted the transformer and and the gate worked fine Zack then confirmed a full credit for transformer which Amazon confirmed immediately, I was very impressed with the speed that Topens got it all sorted thanks Zack, I’d definitely recommend the kit and service it’s excellent at an unbeatable price

I purchased this and the electronic lock. I consider myself a reasonably comment DIYER and found it easy to set up following the video and the included instructions. The range of the remote is very impressive.I had a problem recently after the strong winds we had here and the support I received was very impressive. They took me through, step by step to identify the cause, and once identified quickly sent out a replacement part.Highly recommended,

Aucune notice en français, meme sur le net , rien de correct. J’ai dû bidouiller la plaque de fixation de l’appareil (adieu la garantie), sans succès. Je pense que le portillon doit arriver au raz des deux poteaux pour que cela marche, mais chez moi il est positionné au milieu du pas de porte, pas facile à expliquer, et donc la course de l’ouverture est trop limitée.Donc nul , démontage et poubelle.
