Stuff works great!

I ,like most all the other reviewers, have found this product to be a miracle for me. I take one pill each night and it works just great. My chiropractor recommended it to me about a year ago and told me that it was not habit forming. I had tried so many products but nothing so simple and seemingly safe. For those of us who suffer from chronic constipation, the anxiety that is felt over this problem has been pervasive. So having found this has been a true gift. A few years back when I had my colonoscopy, when I must have been using another product, my doctor said, "you have been using senna" and it is causing this darkening and I want you to stop." So I did, and then continued to struggle, but when I had my next colonoscopy my colon showed no sign of the darkening. I had a colonoscopy last week and the doctor told me once again, "you are using Senna again" and I explained to him that I was not. He argued and said "I only see this with Senna." Soooo the sad story is that my wonderful miracle "colon max" is also causing the darkening of the colon which is not a good thing. Two other reviewers have also reported this as reflected in their colonoscopies. One reviewer said that it is the rhubarb in the combination. I am quite upset by this news but thought I should tell others of this possible side effect . I love my colon max and do not know what my next step will be. I have not stopped using it yet and the doctor told me that I could not increase the dosage so I'm somewhat in limbo at this time. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news and I know so many health practitioners are recommending this. I know of two people who have jaundiced from this formulation and have had some liver issues as a result. If any one out there has any information on how to compensate for the rhubarb issue in it I would love to hear about this. I hope this helps others in protecting their health and am hoping we can take something to reverse the damage that long term use of rhubarb may be causing.
