Performs exactly as expected
The charger takes a variety of battery sizes, and charges them effectively. Indicators on the charger keep me informed about the charging status. Spring-loaded terminals keep the batteries firmly in position.

Energizer charger.
Works well for my needs with charging AA/AAA/C/D batteries as I don't rechargeable (9 volt batteries). Would be cool if it was able to charge batteries singles instead of on pairs of 2 or 4. but all in all it does it's job for the purpose it was created for.

Far superior to German supermarket equivalent it replaced
After about 6 years of use, my previous charger (from a German-owned supermarket) went up in smelly smoke, so I wanted a more trusted brand to replace it.This really does the job and charges Ni-Mh batteries to about 1.4V - previous charger just took them to 1.2V which would lead to "low battery" warning on some devices despite a fresh charge. That extra charge seems to translate to extra battery life too.There seems to be differing stories on here, but mine came with a UK plug.

Flaky and unreliable charger
Good points - it does charge a number of different batteries. Good for the rectangular 9v batteries, of which it can charge 2 at a time.However, most of the batteries that I charge are AA or AAA batteries, and here its decidedly flaky and badly designed:1) Tricky to get the batteries aligned in their slots2) You have to charge them in pairs, which is often inconvenient3) As its charging, you get a faint green light above the pair of charging batteries. This goes off once the batteries are charged. I'd rather see 2 lights - one of charging and one for charging complete

Good charger but batteries are hard to get in correct place
This is a good quality charger. Unfortunately batteries can be quite difficult to get in the right spot to charge. I find C cells are particularly bad for this.
