Fresh, soft and gray tasting.
This is the third brand of red shoe string licorice ice bought and the best by far. The flavor is perfect and the texture is nice and soft but not so soft that it's mushy. You can pull apart the laces easily without breaking the chain. I'll definitely buy again.

These are not good quality in any sense of the word
Terrible. Not one redeeming quality. Odd smell, tasteless, oily residue, thick, texture is off, no elasticity. Do not buy. I am disposing of mine after only a few bites.

Love this brand. Always fresh and tasty. I’ve tried others that are waxy and or tasteless. These are the kind we used to buy in the 60’s. (Yes I am old).

Horrible licorice. Do Not Order!!!!
I would give this licorice zero stars if possible. I tried this licorice as a cheaper alternative to the licorice I usually order. Beware— you get what you pay for! The licorice was stale, tasteless and greasy. Further, the licorice was cut into small inch long segments— perhaps due to the stale condition of the licorice. Threw out the entire bag. Yuck!!!!

LOVED ALOT bout it, but 1 thing....
Always start out with the positive.The coloring was spot on what I remembered from my younger years. Also, the laces had just the right amount of texture & pull. They didn't feel too gummy, it was great. Laces are meant to be tied into a ball at some point of ones experience. They have succeeded in this as well. The price was not the best but I've been known to lay out $$ when something is great.Now for the only thing NOT positive.... The flavor. If this is Strawberry, it’s A pretty SOUR Strawberry. I've tried it at different times of day/evening... Still sour. I probably will try another brand but probably not Gustaf's again. So if your between say 40 to 100, this is a fun candy, unfortunately it is NOT the laces of my childhood. Makes me sad to have to say that.

Absolutely disgusting. Has extreme oily texture and doesn’t taste like the Gustaf’s that I have gotten in the past and thoroughly enjoyed. Not returnable and a complete scam of a product. Very unfortunate that you could not return and be reimbursed for a completely inedible treat. Going in the trash.
