Great looking monitor, iffy stand.
Ordered this monitor as sort of a gift to myself. Right now my set up is a Macbook Pro connected via HDMI to this monitor. The main attraction here is great. Picture looks awesome. I may be biased because I went from a 27" 720p TV to this 27" 1440p monitor, and I was not expecting just how much better it would be. The controls are easy to reach and understand, although I'm a bit nervous if I ever decide to get a second monitor, as the controls sit on the right side of the screen. It could be blocked by the second monitor, but I can't speak for that now!The one part where I wish Amazon let me rate in half stars is the monitor stand. I saw some other reviews mentioning that the stand was "flimsy" which I don't know if I would agree with. I would probably say this stand may be just a bit too wobbly for my liking. The base itself is good quality, and not really flimsy. However, as I'm typing this review, the whole monitor is shaking just noticeably enough to drive me nuts. I'm not worried about the monitor falling or anything, I'm more worried that I'll develop bad typing habits so I don't shake the monitor as much.Overall, I'd recommend. I haven't tried gaming, but for regular everyday use, this monitor holds up well. Looks awesome. I'll definently be buying a second monitor in the future, but I'll also for sure be ditching the stands ASAP.

Fantastic monitor at a great price!
Bought this monitor as a replacement for a 10 year old 25" 1920x1080 monitor that finally gave out. I figured I might as well upgrade my specs in some way if I was going to replace it anyway, and this Acer fit the bill perfectly! I mostly use my machine for graphics work, but I do some gaming too when I have time, and in both cases the increased resolution over my old monitor is quite nice to have. The contrast also seems fantastic in comparison, and is somehow both brighter (when turned up) and has darker blacks. I'm still figuring out optimal settings as I would like to use less blue light now that I can directly configure it, but the display is quite yellow when blue light fully turned off, which isn't always acceptable when working on art projects.Haven't really noticed much difference in going from 60hz to 75hz, but now that I'm using displayport instead of DVI or HDMI, I'm hopeful that I will be future-proofed as new tech options become available. I've been using this monitor for 2 months now and I'm looking forward to using it for many years to come. Might even look into getting two to replace my 27" office monitors, as this packs in 2k resolution to a slightly smaller external size.

Great Value on a Quality 27' Monitor
Very impressive monitor at this price point. Replaced a Dell 24" Ultrasharp that finally died after many years of use. Not a Gamer so didn't need a super high performance monitor. Very good brightness, colors, sharpness, thin bezels, and 2560x1440 at 75Hz using the included 6ft DP Cable. The negatives for me, which really have no/minimal impact are:1. Control buttons in the rear (I use a 3 monitors setup with this one in the middle) so I have to pull it forward whenever I need to adjust or access the menus.2. Speakers are a waste and wish they weren't included. I use external speakers as do I assume 99% of the buyers of this item. All they do is add weight and thickness to the unit.3. The stand is nice and does allow some tilt but NO height adjustment at all.Again, these Cons are minor to me but might affect a potential buyer so I wanted to point them out. Overall, I'm Very Pleased with this Monitor and highly recommend to a non-gamer looking for an excellent 27" inexpensive Monitor.

Very good monitor for the price, but not perfect
Very good monitor for the price with a few weaknesses.Pros:- Good specs for the price. 27" 1440p IPS are usually $300+.- Excellent viewing angles, better than VA and a ton better than TN.- The overall image out the box is rather good, but there are some flaws (will expand on this in the Cons).- OSD is easy to navigate and offers a lot of customization to get the picture to your liking. A lot of color settings and offers 1:1 scaling.- The stand is solid, screen doesn't shake much, and the overall build quality is fairly good.Cons:- The colors didn't look exactly natural out the box, and seemed more vivid than usual. Another reviewer described it as "neon," which I think is quite fitting. The settings in the OSD helped tone down the vividness, though I wasn't able to get it to look as right as I wanted.- The interpolation is not that great. I like to play classic games sometimes like Diablo II, and they look somewhat smoothed out at full screen. This is not the case with other 27" monitors I've had, which kept the text and graphics relatively sharp.- Some backlight bleed near the top right. I could notice it while watching dark content, and it was even more apparent when the room was dark. However the rest of the screen was fine, and the backlight bleed overall was better than most other IPS monitors I've owned, though still not ideal. In general, this is a very solid monitor for the price. If the flaws I mentioned wouldn't bother you, I would definitely recommend this if you want an inexpensive 27" 1440p IPS monitor.
