Not using it for the intended/advertised purpose, but a great product! Happy customer
The media could not be loaded. Before reading further in my review please note I do NOT use this product for its intended *medical* purposes! With that out of the way... this is a fantastic product and I'm glad I stumbled upon it. I use this for reading flow of liquids with a portable hybrid ultrasonic flow meter. I was finding that the ultrasonic gel that was included (and recommended for use) by the manufacturer was "lackluster" at best at getting strong enough signal strength at anything beyond 3" PVC--schedule 40 at best... for a unit advertised as almost "any" pipe type and sizes from 1/2" through to 120" (with a flow range of 1 through 40ft/sec) this left us with a very expensive, very unusable machine. I'd say for quick flow check while one is present it was fine. But what I needed was something that would let me really take advantage of the data-logging feature or utilize the unit for industrial and commercial applications.Enter the Aquaflex Ultrasound Gel pads! Set up time is a fraction of the time it was previously whilst messing around with the liquid gel, and this allows me to leave the unit for hours where I was previously unable to leave it longer than 30mins for an accurate log. Instead of an average of 60-70% then a drop to 10% signal strength I've gotten a solid 85%+ even on pipes substantially larger and thicker. I've also now been able to use them to log up to 8 days of data without signal loss.Where I once couldn't run a log for longer than 30 minutes accurately, I'm no longer sure HOW long I could run a log, but 8 days is more than enough thus far to satisfy what I need. For my application I'm also able to wash the pads, and I place them back in their containers with ultrasound gel for reuse (but no worries if they get too warped, damaged, or dirty--they are disposable after all).In the video I've included we tested this setup on much larger PVC pipe than I had previously gotten a firm reading on--feeding several waterfalls and water features, it's not all that dignified, as we weren't sure it would work at first. Since then I've been able to use it on copper, cast steel, and sch 80 PVC at ranging from 6" to 16" and ran a few extended logs (5 day and 8 day) at a local medical building. So far so good!

Not for Small Animal Ultrasound.
This stand off is a great idea, however, I do veterinary work and I need to use the stand off with small patients. Unfortunately, these are too heavy to put on a cat's abdomen.
