Really practical product. Bag is very finely woven mesh that keeps fruit flies out but allows for air circulation. If needed, it looks to be washable but I have not tried that yet.

Honestly I didn’t think that the mesh bags would keep my veggies & fruit like raspberries & strawberries so fresh. But they did the job! Those berries stayed fresh for 2weeks. I’m amazed!

No quibbles with the quality, however not sure about their freshness keeping capabilities. At five days a bunch of fresh chard from the farmers market became soft and wilted, never had that happen before with same bunches of fresh chard. Going to go with it being a fluke for now since it's the only thing I've tried in these bags so far....but, if the wilting issues continue in the garbage these produce bats will go.

I have been using reusable shopping bags for years now. But I was still using the small produce bags when buying fruit and veggies. When I was in Newport, RI on vacation last year, a grocery store we went to had reusable produce bags to purchase in the produce section. I purchased a few. They were great! They were strong enough to hold 8 large apples. Plus the mesh material helped my produce stay fresh in the fridge longer. I needed to purchase additional bags and found these on Amazon. I love them! You can use the bags for anything! You can even use them to wash delicate clothing! If you’re looking for a way to help our planet and help slow down climate change, buy these! Imagine what we could do for Earth if everyone just stopped using plastic produce (and shopping) bags!

These reusable mesh bags are fantastic. I decided to get them after looking at all the different options on Amazon. One of the reasons why I got them was because they donate a portion of each purchase to help promote sustainable living- I think that’s a great cause. People don’t realize the effect that certain things have on the environment. That’s the same reason why I eliminated plastic bags from the house with reusable shopping bags and switched to eco-friendly swedish dishcloths!Now to talk about the actual bags:Ive been using them for a couple weeks now and they’re holding up great. You can tell that they’re high quality. They’re foldable and compact as well- I have some in the car and some in my bag. Where I live, some of the stores give you a discount too if you opt not to use their plastic bags which is a nice plus! The pull cord to close the bag is also well-made and durable.I use them for a variety of stuff but 80% of the time its produce. I think thats what most people use them for actually. It’s super convenient because you just put them in the bag at the store and then you can put them directly into the fridge like that when you get home. The mesh material is breathable so you don’t have to worry about it going bad. Actually in my experience the product actually stays fresh for longer as opposed to if you have to in a plastic bag.Cleaning isn’t a hassle either since you can throw the bags directly into the washing machine- in fact, that’s one of their selling points. I usually wash them together with my other eco bags in one load with mild detergent. I leave them out to dry afterwards and that’s that. Just don’t put more than three in at a time since the pull cords will tangle…at least thats what it says in the directions. I have a couple of stains on one of the bags from some squished fruit that didn’t really come out but honestly it doesn’t really bother me.I also like how the set comes with multiple sizes. I can pretty much fit anything in them. The largest bag I would say that you can easily fit several pounds of stuff. I know I’ve done that with fruit. The only thing you want to be careful of is sharp points since that can damage the mesh.The only con for me is that the bag is not very translucent which means that the cashier may have trouble scanning your stuff at the till. 9/10 they’ll have to open the bag to get to the scan code which can take longer. That reminds me…remember to get them to ring in the bag weight! The tare weight is on the color tag on the bag. You’ll be paying extra for absolutely no reason otherwise.Overall I would buy them again. Anything to prevent more plastic from ending up in the landfill. Remember guys…those things are going to stay there for hundreds of years!!

These bags are wonderful - I put all my vegetables inside and inside the crisper and it seems to be working. Like most things about this except the long strings to tie it and the texture - wish it could feel more cotton and less synthetic
