NECA - Aliens - Xenomorph Queen Ultra Deluxe Boxed Action Figure

Neca doesn't always hit a home run. The sculpts are always amazing. But sometimes something sneaks into a box that should have been caught by QA. Case in point, I have two predator figures with seized shoulder joints and one alien xeno figure with a case of scoliosis. So it's always a bit of a gamble ordering from them online. At least I've only had three problems with their figures out of about 30. So 1 out of 10. Because of this, I was hesitant to drop this kind of cash on one of their figures. But I'm glad I did.This one is stellar (no pun intended). Flawless everything. All joints are solid. The stand is a little weird, but it works well enough. And my gods... the detail... oh my... the detail is unreal... It's easily the best queen xeno figure I've ever seen. And that includes the resin model kits. I'm not crazy about the tongues (two pegs that sorta snap in place in the mouth, one extended and open and the other closed). But since I tend to keep my other alien xenos tongues in and their teeth closed, this is a really minor thing. The back spines lack any sort of instruction on which way they face. But that just gave me an excuse to rewatch the movie. Again, not a huge issue.All things considered, this is everything I had hoped it would be. I even get compliments from people that aren't fans of the franchise. It's that good.

I've eyed this thing for a few years, kept back mainly because of its price but finally pulled the trigger the other day. Worth every penny. I don't feel like writing a long review so I'm not going to. I will say:Pros:BEAUTIFUL pieceGood articulationThis thing is HUGE. Even watching review videos don't give you the full sense of its scale. This thing is like a pet. Many dogs are smaller than her majesty.It is just a joy to look at.Cons:The tines (or spikes if you prefer) on the back often get in the way of her crown and restrict movement of the head. I've decided to not attach them and it's no big deal for me. She still looks great.Mine game with loose hip joints so posing her without a stand is not really an option. I don't mind this much as she's so big and going on a narrow shelf so I've would have used the stand regardless.If you love ALIENS and always wanted a queen to fulfill some part of you life that felt was missing: Buy this ASAP. Stay frosty.

It took a few years but I have been patiently waiting for this Alien Queen to complete my Aliens collection. I was lucky enough to find this available directly from the manufacturer. On the plus side, it was regular retail price. But I had to pay shipping too. Totally worth it in my opinion. If you seek this figure, keep an eye on this page or big box retailers like Target as these may begin to surface again. Be patient. Don’t pay overly inflated prices. It’s a huge piece that will not easily fit into your display - so plan around it’s size and create a space for it. It’s detail sculpt and moveable appendages are amazing.

Arrived damaged !

So far so good. Purchased figure about 2-3 weeks ago, the seller could have worked out a better shipping method. For tracking purposes. Other than that. Mine arrived in great condition, no issues no complaints, no warped Lims, everything fits well, definitely not a "cheap knock off". I've never purchased anything other than my car that is so stunning and well articulated, by far my favorite neca product. TOTAL recommend. The creature is absolutely stunning, a great addition for any alien collector. NOT for kids. Great product for a hive/diorama, maybe some minor stop motion.

Well done in groves, spines, the memebrane of the jaws, and in general, the figure itself!Paint:5/5 the drybrushing, the paint is movie accurate at all angles!Detail: 5/5Articulation: 5/5- so much, it's almost too much! You can manipulate any pose you want with her.Accessories: 4/5- the essentials are there, but the stands are a problem. Instead of metal rods( which I see were done for sturdiness), articulated possible stands like tamashi nation stands would've been better. The inter changeable mouth pieces are fine. If only if neca included an egg or two with this queen.Price( is it worth it?) : 4.5/5- for $99.99, it is good deal, but $85 seems about better. If the figure came with more accessories, than the 99.99 would be justified.OVERALL SCORE: 28.5/3095% (A)Defiantly a great addition to your hive of aliens!

To begin with, the sculpt is amazing! And this @#$%^ is huge. On the shelf with the other Alien figures from NECA that I have, she looks incredible. Her articulation was very well executed. And the paint aps are spot on. I especially like the rods included to keep her upright. The one things I do not like is the inner jaw (tongue) is difficult to place and mine actually does not fit in the hole made for it. I had to use the putty for hanging posters to get it to stay in place. Otherwise, 9.5 out of 10.

This Queen is awesome and breathtaking in its detail. She wasn't perfect, though. One of her main arms isn't quite properly aligned with the other. And I can't get her main neck segment to rotate or move. But those are minor points because overall, this is a spectacular figure. The likeness to the movie Queen is amazing. For the price, it's an absolute bargain.
