UAG Folio iPad Pro 11-inch (1st Gen, 2018) Case Metropolis [Cobalt] Feather-Light Rugged Military Drop Tested iPad Cover with Apple Pencil Holder

When I upgraded to the Ipad 11 pro, I needed a good case and I bought this case because I had the same one for my Ipad 10.5 pro. It looks great and has good features. It's simple to install it on the ipad and take it off. One reason I bought the case like this for my Ipad pro 10.5 is that it had a Apple pencil holder that was secure. This one also has a spot for the pencil, which I use, that is also secure, but yet is still simple to retrieve the pencil for use and slick and easy to put the pencil back. One feature that both cases had is small holes in the back of the case for a strap or lanyard. I have not been able to find one sold separately by UAG, but I believe they sell it with other cases like the one for the Surface Pro. I tried out another case that I found on amazon that came with the strap and i installed it on this case. You can see the strap in the pictures. I use my Ipad for viewing plans and creating field reports on the jobsite and I feel this case offers good protection and features. One reason I bought and use this case rather than others is that it has a screen cover. The only downside to this one compared with the case for the Ipad 10.5 Pro is that the screen cover is not removable. The UAG case for the Ipad 10.5 Pro was compatible with the Apple keyboard for that device and I really liked it. You could pull off the screen cover and snap on the keyboard. The Ipad 11 Pro case is not compatible with the Apple keyboard because the design and connection hardware on this keyboard is in a different location. I really don't like that Apple did that. To use the keyboard I have to remove the Ipad from the case and snap it on the keyboard. I would hate it worse except this UAG case comes off fairly easy. I think this UAG case is a great product. I do wish that they would find a way to offer a case that is compatible with the Apple keyboard, but I understand that it would be a difficult case to design. 5 stars easy to hold (the texture and material is grippy), 5 stars on durability, but only 4 stars on versatility because it's not compatible with the Apple Keyboard Folio.

I’m very pleased with this case. It provides good protection and I like the fact that I can use it to prop my iPad up while I’m using it. I’m happy with my purchase and would by again.

I am a long term UAG fanboy. I have used UAG on many phones and have always been impressed by the high level of protection in a stylish form factor. UAG cases are well thought out an are generally a great combination of good looks and above average protection. My phones were all able to survive multiple falls including many tumbles from out of semi truck cabs onto concrete or blacktop pavement as well as many shorter falls. The worst damage was maybe a new scuff on my UAG case. The phones always survived the falls unscathed.So, with that kind of track record UAG was at the top of my list of cases for the new iPad Pro. I tried one of the tank like cases and it turned the iPad into a brick that bore no resemblance to the sleek and sexy iPad imprisoned in a shroud of ugly. Not to mention it made things clunky and difficult in daily use. It only took a few weeks to make the decision to see if UAG offered a case for the iPad. They did and it looked like UAG could do the job. Excellent protection without hiding too much of the sleek lines of the iPad.Pros - Great fit. It fits snugly without sacrificing ease of putting the iPad in or taking it out. So, I’m able to do regular cleaning and polishing without having to take a vacation day just to do an otherwise quick clean up. Even though it accommodates easy installations and removals, once in place, it is secure leaving no worries that it could fall out of the case.Once on, there are no warps or gaps around the outer edges of the case.The front of the case offers more than adequate relief to protect the screen from scapes if placed face down on a table of falling onto uneven surfaces. The outer band has thickened protection around the corners which are the most vulnerable when dropped. The rear of the case is form fitting and follows the lines of the iPad without adding bulk.Overall appearince is on the “rugged” side but not overdone. The outer shell is textured which aids in providing a secure grip. Even with wet hands, the texture doesn’t feel slippery. And it looks great to boot.Cons. So far, the only thing I can find is the front cover sometimes doen’t hide well. This setup lives quite a bit in desktop stand that clamps on like so many of the hands free car units for phones. The front cover gets in the way of the clamp on one side. Minor issue and I can work around it.If it was stolen or lost, I would definitely buy another. Highly recommend.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the price on this case. I thought it had to be some bait and switch, lol. I ordered it, took a chance and figured if it came in not up to par I would return it. But, it is exactly as pictured and as described. A great find for me! It protects the iPad and went on easy and sits in the lap with ease. Definite a great buy. Not disappointed.

I had been searching for a while for a protecting case for my iPad Pro. I didn’t add AppleCare (stupid I know) and needed to find something military grade to give the extra protection to my iPad.The UAG folio case is everything and more! It is extremely protective while being thin and not bulky. The outer edges cover the lips of the screen so to protect the edges from a fall and potential cracking. The rear camera is also covered nicely. The cut outs for the speakers and charging port are also easily accessible.The case is expensive, but it is worth every penny!!
