Not for Wireless Mouse/Keyboard
The product setup was fairly straightforward. The supplied cables did what they were supposed to do. However, I have a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo using the "unify" system. Contrary to the vendor's claim that the KVM works with wireless mouse/keyboards, this is not correct. The mouse works fine, but the keyboard is detected as an HID keyboard, but does not work. Research says you need a KVM that supports Dynamic Device Management...this KVM does not. Works fine with usb mouse and keyboard, but vendor should remove claim about supporting wireless keyboard/mouse setup. I'm going to keep it, less hassle than sending it back.

Solid, cheap KVM
Giving this 5 stars because my super-small gripes with this product are not something I could reasonably expect. I'm only posting them here in case the manufacturer might work them into later revisions. It works just fine for basic computing work on my 29" LG ultrawide monitor with both computers at my max display resolution (2650x1080 / 60hz). I do not game using this so I can't vouch for any imperceptible display lag this might introduce. My one gripe with this is that when I switch channels my 2009 macbook goes to sleep immediately. This is a macbook problem, not a KVM problem, but I know some KVMs have mouse/keyboard emulation which theoretically solves this, though I haven't tried it so I can't say for sure. In a perfect world the KVM would have an option to fool the second computer into thinking it was still connected when switching channels to avoid this. Afaik this is still a problem on macbook's that run in clamshell mode and it probably would be a huge selling point (I've tried InsomniaX and other software approaches to fixing this problem, no dice unfortunately). Also, my second gripe is that there's no way to switch audio channels without changing the display channel also. I've had KVM's in the past that let you do this. It's nice for when you have your music library on one computer and want to keep it running even when you switch displays. Finally, though I didn't intend on using it, the included remote does not work very well and you often have to push the button multiple times and have it pointed right at the receiver to get it to work. I did not try the included IR extender cable, that might help things, not sure. Finally, for anybody curious, the power adapter does not seem to be necessary unless you have power hungry usb devices attached. For my mouse keyboard it doesn't seem to be necessary at all.

Excellent quality easy install
There have been some mixed review on this website but from my personal experience, this is an excellent product. The inputs are labeled properly and the cables provided are of good qualitIy. I use a PC and a Mac Mini - sharing the peripherals keeps the clutter off my desk. With a single touch to either the remote or the onboard button the switch is made with very little lag.If using 2 computers is a requirement, this well made product is a must. I hightly recommend it and as an IT consultant, I will recommend this to my clients.

Good device for the price with glitches
I have used this switcher box device for about 4 months. When I first received it, the device malfunctioned within the first couple of days so I called Amazon and got a replacement device. The device is compact so it is good for those with small work space (one monitor/two PC's/one keyboard/mouse) and it comes with all the cords. The switching portion works good and is reliable when you don't have to unplug one of your computers. If you do unplug one of your devices (PC/Laptop), the switching of monitors works fine after replugging the disconnected PC/laptop. However, the USB devices (mouse/keyboard) connected to the switcher box don't always transfer connection to the correct laptop (recently plugged) on display. So, in order to fix that, I usually press the switch button on the box to transfer all the connections to the already connected laptop, then, press the switch button again to transfer all the connection to the new device (the one recently plugged). Sometimes, I have had to unplug the HDMI and reconnect as well to reset the connections if the above mentioned process doesn't work.Overall, the switch box works good unless you have to disconnect one of your laptops/PC. I was not able to find a switch box in the price range that would allow me to do what this box does with the least amount of cords.

Don't use a USB 3.0 port!
I had some initial trouble with this KVM when used with a Lenovo laptop in a docking station. I am using a Logitech MX Anywhere mouse and standard wired Lenovo USB keyboard. When switching, the keyboard and mouse were not being activated. They keyboard did not power on/light up. After contacting the seller and hearing their suggestions I tried a USB 2.0 port on the docking station and voila! So if you are having trouble with this switch and wireless mice or ones using a unifying device, please be sure to try a USB 2.0 port and not a USB 3.0 port. This resolved it for me.While this isn't as fast as a KVM with DDM it switches plenty fast for my needs. I am using the KVM at 2560x1440@60Hz over HDMI. No issues with flickering or stability. The KVM feels very solid and looks very high quality. It's much nicer than other KVMs I have purchased in the past. You really can't beat the price of this.

Good for SINGLE monitor (second monitor is frustrating)
My problems with this device are not really a fault of the hardware. I just didn't realize how it would work.I'm using this on a second monitor. When you swap, all content gets moved off the second screen (because it disconnected). Windows has no way to disable this default behavior. It seems that HDMI must be connected for the switcher to work, so this can't be used just to swap USB back and forth. The cables provided are a hybrid USB + HDMI on one end with separate connectors on the other end.For sharing a single monitor, this is a great tool. Solid metal construction. Remote control. One thing I don't understand though is why the remote has a '1' and '2' button along with a '<' and '>' button. They seem functionally identical.

This is a great little swith
would have gotten 5 stars, but it doesn't work with Raspberry Pi's. Really well made though, strudy and heavy duty cables. just awesome. I really wish it worked for what I wanted though. not its fault.

Top-notch KVM switch
Quality product, solid and full featured. I tried other cheaper KVMs without success. This one does what it supposed should do. I have a PC with dual-boot Linux-Win10 which boot up with GRUB and a Windows laptop connected to the switch, and everything worked at once after connecting the switch . The remote control is just a fantastic add-on. Note you will need to use your own HDMI cable between switch and TV. IF you are looking for a KVM switch, this is the one.

Works Perfectly Instantly
I am using it with two PC desktop computers, one running Windows 7 and the other running Windows 10, both with wired mouse and keyboard. All features work including mouse scroll wheel and gaming keyboard support. Change-over time is about 2.5 seconds. I bought two USB extension cables - you'll need one or two of these if the switcher is more than 5 feet away from one of your computers. Here's are the USB extension cables I bought:https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00P0ES0QM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1In summary, VERY good product, recommended.

Functional but need to test peripherals
This switch is very handy where you need to switch a single HDMI monitor between two systems. Unfortunately, this particular unit did not work with a particular wireless keyboard and mouse but worked well with wired versions - be prepared.
