Glow in The Dark Deep Drop Weights

SO I have mixed feelings on this weight. I hate to leave a negative review but I'm not 100% satisfied and thought others might want to know more before they plunk down the money for one of these. First, I bought three weights... 3, 4 and 5lbs. They are all the same width, each one is just an inch or two longer than the prior size. They are slender and I expect they will fall easily through the water. They were all packaged together in a shipping envelope and wrapped in a copious amount of bubble wrap. However, whether there is quality control problems or they were just packaged poorly, two of the three weights arrive damaged. The largest weight has the eye bent at lest 45 degrees from being vertical. Maybe the package got dropped, maybe the wire eye was just set in the lead wrong, but it will not hang straight now as the top of the eye is not even close to being centered on the to of the weight. I tried to bend it back but its a pretty strong wire and wouldn't move. The smallest of the thee weights has paint chipping off the bottom, and when I opened the bubble wrap it looked like it was snowing paint flakes. So obviously if the paint is chipping before it bumps around on the boat, let alone use it and bump it off the bottom, I have a feeling the paint won't be staying on there long. Having bought this weight because of the glow paint, and having spend more than comparable weights (pound to pound), I'm disappointed that they are not using primer or at least better paint to make sure the glow paint stays adhered to the weights. The other two weights looked good with no chipping, and the paint is on there heavy, so maybe I just got the unlucky one that was prepped right. So I'm sure they will do just fine, but between the bent eye and the chipping paint, and a higher price point then other lead weights, I can't 100% recommend these weights. If the bent eye and chipping paint don't bother you, then I'd go for it as they were delivered quickly and seem otherwise like they will do a great job on my deep drop rigs.

Nice product....just be aware that the glow paint only last about 3 days bouncing off the bottom....

Slim enough to work well on my kayak without being dangerous. Used it with an anchor wizard. Took it out 3 times and something frayed my line and I lost it to the river. Will possibly buy another in the future. I will just make due with something home made for now.
