The black pen emits black ink, and the burgundy-ish pen writes in burgundy-ish ink. Pretty standard, nice G2 pens. My fav!

Good pens, wrong color
I ordered these for the burgundy pen. I got a black pen, as expected, and a purple pen. Still, they're good pens.

Wrong colors were sent.
I ordered this specifically for the maroon colored pen and instead received the standard blue pen. Pen quality is great, but they don’t pay attention to color selection ordered
