At first we weren't sure....but then....
Mounts to the wall easily. We have 5 cats. We had this set up on the wall for almost a year until one of them FINALLY caught on to what it was. NOW, every single one of them uses it. Took a while though, as they were used to floor standing scratching posts or their carpeted cat tree. We had to use some cat nip to entice them, but like I said, it did take almost a year before any of them seemed to even care that it was there for them. We have middle aged cats to seniors, so that was part of the problem. It is, however, nice that you can replace the cylinder after being worn out. And that is something that will be needed soon! For some cats, this may cause a similar issue. We learned patience was the key. Once we considered removing it from it's wall space, it appears THAT is when the youngest one noticed & she hasn't stopped using it since, and the others did follow her lead.We chose this because one of our SR kitties tends to mark Every Single Floor Scratching box, post, anything that he can sit on & squat. We were tired of that, so thought this would be perfect. Though it did take such a long time, I can finally write a proper review for it. We do NOT regret this purchase now!For kittens, this might prove to be very handy! For the older cats, it may take some getting used to.

Amazing!!
I mounted this into a wall stud and itโs been fantastic. Cats can stretch and even climb it, not just sharpen their claws.Installation was easy, quality seems good. We've had it for about a month. The sisal has held up to plenty of use during that time, and replacing the roll should be easy enough. I donโt hesitate to recommend it to anyone with cats. I would definitely consider a stud mount, or strong wall anchors, however. That will make it indestructible.

My cat won't use it.
I've tried spraying liquid catnip on it. It's a good sturdy post. Have it installed on the side of a cabinet. I've even taken her over to it, spread her front claws and tried to show her. Nope. I do recommend because some cats would probably like it. Maybe she'll pickup on it one day. Cats are cats.

Great product
Cat loves it. Bought 2 for around our place. Now she has something good to scratch on and I don't have a bulky piece sitting on the floor.

worth the money
Took my 3 month old a month to get him to use it. I finally ended up putting treats on top for positive reinforcement. IT WORKED!

Saves floor space and doesn't budge
The great thing about this is how sturdy the scratcher is since it is mounted to the wall. It also saves on floor space. I'm sure the cat will enjoy it for years to come.

That they have a scratch pad .
Have two tuxedo cats Charlie loves it. Lucy looks at her brother and tries to figure out what he's scratching. She'll learn.
