Hozier's second album is excellent; the fidelity is remarkable. I haven't heard an album engineered this well since the 2014 edition of David Crosby's "Croz". I purchased the vinyl edition; no issues or concerns were identified. With that said, I clean all new albums with the Spin Clean MKII record cleaner. Hozier has definitely matured; this album reflects genuine talent and ability with much to offer going forward. While I enjoyed the debut album, Wasteland Baby is vastly different - there are layers within the album that truly satisfy on multiple levels. In short, if you're a Hozier enthusiast, buy the album. For those who want more, complete the package with Beirut Gallipoli and Live Dates by Wishbone Ash. That should do it nicely. Cheers! Review: Worth the Wait! - I've played this CD a lot since I received it two days ago. So many good songs on it, I'm not sure which is my favorite. Almost everyone is my favorite right now, and will probably remain so. If you liked his first CD, then definitely get this one. Beautiful mix of music & lyrics - so important to me. After the first CD, so many artists follow up with a mediocre 2nd release. Not so in this instance. Worth the wait to release a very powerful & wonderful music mix. LOVE the inclusion of Mavis Staples on Nina Cried Power, and the litany of names, homage to past greats.

Hozier is genius
Will never regret buying a Hozier album. Track 11 didn't work, though, unfortunately.

Great follow-up album that us fans waited a long time for!
If you're a fan of the first album than you're going to like the second one as well. Though I don't think it is quite as good as his debut album, but not many artists 2nd albums are as good or better than their first. I still think it is really really good, to the point that it hasn't come out of my CD changer since I bought it on March 1st (yes I'm old, 40, and still like having the CD!), and it's much better than 90% of the albums I've purchased in the past decade!

positiveなサウンド
Take me to Church

Magnificent piece of work
Hozier has outdone himself on this album. Truly a skipless albums with wonderful songs. From the current political climate, to admiring beauty of nature, to sensing the impending doom in which case, we can do nothing, so we might as well love each other some more. Truly a masterpiece!

Excellent
It's unfortunate that listening to music is such a subjective experience since it makes album reviews very personal. For me though, this album is excellent. From the anthemic opening track "Nina Cried Power" to the closing ballad "Wasteland, Baby!" there's not a duffer on it. But, as I said, that's very subjective and I've never listened to any other Hozier albums (in fact, the only song I've previously heard by Hozier is Take Me To Church! In fairness then, I guess this review isn't of a lot of use if you've listened to Hozier before, but....
