The shower had an expensive $200 shower head that came with the house. While the flow valve screwed onto the pipe from the wall okay, there were not enough threads for a watertight connection to the head. Even with the rubber washer, and copious Teflon pipe tape, the water leaked like a sieve at the head and was unacceptable. I bought another shower head from HD and that worked fine. But I had to purchase another head ($20) just to make the $9 flow valve work. Seems okay now with the cheap head but the wife is NOT happy about my screwup buying this flow valve. I had no idea the thread depth was minimal on the valve and slightly excessive on the head. But you live and learn. It seems to work okay now, a little noisy when turning the flow down, but okay.EDIT: I realize the issue now with the flow valve. In addition to the thread length being to short, there is a lip that extends around the valve that prevents the shower head thread (the expensive one) from seating. It seats instead on the lip and comes up way short as a result. So before buying this check you shower head attachment. If it seems deeper than it should, this valve probably won't work.

I installed this in the shower of my travel trailer so I could shut off the water completely to conserve water during showers. The new shower head I bought to replace the crap from the manufacture only had a trickle shut off but didn't actually shut it off completely. I installed this and now water on, off, partially on with the flick of my thumb. I love it and know will be able to conserve water now with this installed. It seems heavy duty with good quality. It is all brass however has chrome plating over the top to give it a nice shiny appearance. Overall it does what I need. I would recommend to anyone needing a shut off inside their shower.

I'm a full-time RVer and I use a hand-held shower head. However, it requires turning a small diameter ring to turn it on & off. Very difficult to do with wet hands. Then I discovered this little gem. Installed it where the hose connects to the water pipe. WOW. Now a simple turn of the shut-off valve controls the shower flow... a pure delight. And being brass, it's a quality little gem. Love it!!! I have a shower head that was dripping all the time. Plumber told me to replace the cartridge in the single handle faucet but the assembly was jammed and wont come out. He said I had to change the whole system making a hole in the drywall. Then I found this value on Amazon. It took me less than 2 minutes yesterday to install and it fixed the drips right away. Saved me hundreds of dollars of repairs. Highly recommend this.

Bought these for the AquaStorm by HotelSpa 30-Setting SpiralFlo 3-Way Luxury Shower Head/Handheld Showerhead Combo. ASIN B016T9KDBG. I love this showerhead so much, I have bought 2 more for family members, and of course bought 2 more sets of these valves.I don't know why these valves are not part of the showerhead because they seem necessary. Glad I could buy these valves, they are very helpful for adjusting the volume of the water for each showerhead in the combo. They were easy to add to the showerhead.

Took this to my local plumbers since it didn't fit a standard NPT elbow on my plumbing. They couldn't even suggest an adapter. So pretty much a useless product. After I discovered the problem Amazon was no longer carrying it needless to say, the seller is useless - billionfull.usa.

Solid build, all metal, heavy! Worked great to add a 2nd shower head to my shower. This is BRUSHED NICKEL, not chrome. Also (no fault of the product) depending on the showerhead pipe, this may not install directly horizontally or vertically.. at the tightest point, mine landed in an 11 and 5 oclock position but still works great. Thinking about adding another to have three heads!
