Great idea, Poor execution
I'm a professional chef and I honestly had high hopes for this immersion cooker, and it was nice while it lasted. The unit came in a very sturdy box and the directions were written well enough for me to read. My initial satisfaction with the build quality was high given the price. I decided to baby the product. I cleaned and dried it after every use and placed it in its original box after it cooled. However, the unit refused to work after 4 uses. I worked with tech support to rule out user error, but alas I was disappointed. Furthermore, the temperature regulation was fairly poor for a 950w model. If the immersion cooker had lasted long enough I would have calibrated the thermometer, but it's not a good sign when you have to calibrate it out of the box. To those of you considering this product, don't waste your money. Buy something with more reviews, even if it's double the price.

Budget SousVide I will Recommend To Anyone
Premature review as I’ve o my used it once so far. Heats up 4 gallons of water very quickly to the desired temp (136). It has run 3 hours without any warnings, beeps, or issues. It doesn’t really grab the pot strong enough to keep it still if you move the pot, but really all it needs to do is keep it upright.The unit is whisper quiet, no exaggeration it’s quieter than my fridge when it’s running.The menus and manual are so badly written it’s basically a guess at how to change things.Here’s a few tips. It’s come in Celsius which is fine for everyone but Merica. To change it you simply press the touch button for the desired temp and it will change to Fahrenheit. If you want a custom temp not in the presets first change it to your desired measurement (Fahrenheit or Celsius) hold down the temp icon for approximately 3 seconds and it will beep, from there rotate the head to your desired temp and walk away.Same as a custom timer, hold down the timer icon for 2-3 seconds, then use the wheel.I’m not going to dock it a star, but the temp is off about 5 degrees higher than the setting.

Nice Sous Vide Cooker!
I am a big fan of cooking, and I love to cook meat. Everyday when I get back from work, the one problem is that I have to defrost and defreeze the meat. So I have to put the meat out the day before, which loses the freshness. However, after I bought this Sous Vide Cooker, everything seems different now! Now I can directly take the meat/salmon out from the fridge, defrost it with the sous vide cooker quickly, without loosing the freshness of the meat. I also use this cooker to slow cook my salmon, it is delicious! I would definitely recommend this product!

My first sous vide
This is my first suvi cooking machine so I really don't have anything to compare it to but it was a little learning curve for me but once I got used to it I mean it is top-notch no Faults in the beginning like I said it was a little learning curve but once you get past it it's great steaks pork chops vegetables they all come out great restaurant quality.I tend to go cheaper when trying something new, cause if it's not I wouldn't of wanted to waste a ton of money

This circulator is the bomb. Great price. Great material. Super easy to use. The noise is practically unrelevant, super quiet. The only cons is the clip for hold the circulator but when u use a container is no a problem at all. I use the joule app as a guide for cook and it works great. For beginners I recommend this circulator because is affordable and easy to use.

Off-Brand Sous-Vide Circulator Works Well
My greatest concern with this off-brand circulator was whether it would work consistently. It does. It did not fit within the hole of the lid of my 12-quart container, so I enlarged the hole with a drimel tool. Once I did that, everything worked well. It does not connect to my phone via wifi, for which I'm glad as I did not want to rely on that feature to run the unit. The presets are a bit different than I use, but that's more on my cooking style, and they do get me in the ballpark. I'm quite happy with my purchase as I explore the sous-vide method. I'm loving it for steaks!

Works Good!
I got a very tender, juicy steak by this sous vide which works perfectly! Just one thing needs to be aware that after you clicked the start button, you need to take a long press(about 4 to 5 seconds) on the menu icon to adjust the cooking kind, it doesn't mention on manual instruction and it takes some time on me to figure it out. Also for my personal experience, 6 hours to cook on steak by sous vide is too long, I'd like to reduce the hour to about 2 hours.

Using For Photographic Temperture Control
I use this in a temperature control bath for film processing.First off, the display is very faint and hard to read in standard kitchen lighting, and second, the touch screen is quirky and inconsistent in its operation, requiring multiple attempts to set its controls. But, it was inexpensive and adequately serves my needs, but, YMMV. I can't say how well it meets the needs of a cook.
