Works great for plane irons and chisels. I was surprised at how easy it was to get started. Great product. It will not fit all chisels though , it depends on the style.

The coating makes it difficult to line up chisels the way they intend. So you have to find your own measurements or sand off the coating they put on it. Either way, I figured it out and sharpened my chisels.

It will not hold my chisels in place. It may work for chisels that are flat on both sides, mine are tapered on one side.

Very handy tool to have. Makes sharpening my planes and chisels a breeze. The tool is well made for the price and it has a screwdriver slot to tighten on the blade to be sharpened. Does not work loose while sharpening and it does not appear like it will rust easily when sharpening with a whet stone.

Use it on a regular basis to sharpen my numerous wood chisels. Very important to have a sharp chisel to improve workmanship and safety. A dull chisel is an accident waiting to happen.
