TimexExpedition Rugged Men's 45 mm Watch

The band on my Nautica N-Tech dive watch finally broke. When I replaced the band, I noticed my buddy of many years was starting to show its age. Though it will still be my main watch for work, I figured I would shop around for something new.I bought a few watches, and for some dumb reason, bought for looks without paying attention to the case size. Oh my god...this trend of "big" watches is insane. I have no idea how anyone wears these enormous, heavy watches. Maybe if you have super thick forearms and wrists, but on me they just look really gaudy. Plus, they weigh a ton, no thanks.On the other side of the size issue, I have a couple of the early Timex Expedition watches that look and function great, but are just slightly larger than what would be considered a woman's watch.For me, this Expedition strikes the perfect balance of size and weight. The case is big, but not HUGE and most importantly, it's not super thick. As for the weight, it does have a metal body, rather than the cheap feeling plastic of my other Expedition, but it's not so heavy you feel like you have a barbell strapped to your wrist. Just enough size and weight to feel substantial without constantly reminding you that you're wearing a watch.Most people will probably be able to strap it on and go, but the band gave me just a little trouble. Putting it on the first notch made it roll around my wrist like a bracelet (which I hate) and I couldn't quite latch it into the second notch. I took it off and ran the band under cold water, soaking and rubbing it all the way through until it was drenched. Then, I started gently pulling and twisting the band while making sure I held it so I did not put pressure on the spring pins where it attaches to the case and clasp. This stretched it just enough to clasp it through the second hole. I put it on wet and wore it all day, gently pulling on the leather from the top and bottom throughout the day. It dried perfectly without showing any water damage to the leather. It fits like a glove now and I really like the style and quality of the factory leather band it came with. Again, most people probably won't have this issue, but it may help someone with the same problem I had.When I was searching Amazon and Ebay for Timex Expedition watches, I was surprised at just how many variations of this brand name there were. I was equally surprised at how fast they stop production on many of them to make way for the new versions of Expedition watches. So...if you like the style of this one, grab it up, who knows how long it will be around.

Pretty inexpensive watch with very reliable performance. Rugged and sporty look for daily use.

This watch has a large face with large easy read numbers.The lumination works well too.I love the way the bezels extended edge seems to protect the crystal from scrapes and scratches.All this and its very light for such a large well made time piece.

The Indiglo light gave out on my last Timex after only a little more than a year. Very disappointing. So, we'll see with this one. Have only had this one for a couple weeks, so time will tell. So far, so good.

I’ve owned several Timex Expedition watches and overall they’ve held up pretty good. The light for the face usually goes out first. The one I just purchased seems to stop/freeze so the time must be reset. That’s why I only gave it 3 stars. If this one fails it will be the last Timex watch I buy.

Comfortable, good looking and I like the light but I did find it difficult to get on but easier than my metal watch. I know that’s not your fault it’s a gift from MS. 😂 It’s a nice watch and it does what I wanted, tell time, date and a bright light. Perfect 😁

Ich mag Uhren, und ich wechsel die Uhren gerne auch mal jeden Tag, das muss ich vorweg schicken. Also habe ich auch ein paar Uhren mehr ;-) ...Diese Uhr von Timex habe ich gesehen und fand sie einfach interessant. Die Farbe vom Ziffernblatt (sandfarben) und die seicht orange farbigen Akzente, außerdem der Stil der Ziffern, die im übrigen gut lesbar sind, haben mich sehr angesprochen. Die Uhr wurde geliefert - die Verpackung war zweckmäßig -und ausgepackt. Und, was soll ich sagen?Die Uhr wirkt sehr wertig aufgrund des massiven Rahmens, der durchaus etwas "dick aufträgt" - positiv gemeint. Die Uhr hat ihr Gewicht, das aber keinesfalls unangenehm ist. Die Datumsanzeige ist gut lesbar, was bei solchen Anzeigen oft nicht der Fall ist, und sie lässt sich auch gut auf der Haut tragen, wobei der Verschluss etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig - da etwas frickelig - ist. Das stört mich aber nicht weiter.Die Beleuchtungsfunktion ist echt cool, da das Ziffernblatt grünlich hinterleutet wird. Sieht schick aus!Alles in allem eine schöne und wertige Uhr, die ich für den doch recht niedrigen Preis von ca. 45,00 € habe bekommen können. Damit ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unschlagbar. Sie ist aber noch meinem Empfhinden auch deutlich mehr wert!Ich bereue die Entscheidung für diese Uhr nicht!

Forget your smart watches…. This looks class and is class, beautiful looking watch, lights up brilliantly with the indigo light, hand are luminous aswell, strap is well made, really glad I bought this watch, very highly recommended

TRES SATISFAIT

Orologio arrivato puntuale. Si presenta nella sua confezione con il sigillo per la batteria e il libretto di istruzioni + garanzia. Ha il suo peso, ma è anche confortevole. Ho anche un Casio che uso per lavorare durante la settimana. nei weekend indosso il Timex e non trovo particolari problemi. Questo modello oltre a dare idea di robustezza e solidità è anche preciso con le lancette. Sono contento di questo mio acquisto essendo il primo orologio non digitale che possiedo. Oltretutto sta bene su tutti i vestiti che indosso.
