Book Review: From Author Unpublished
I’m amazed, but I actually really enjoyed this book. First of all, let me say: In theory, I have nothing against ménages à trois, but I have found over the years, that at least in literature (I won’t even delve into life in general), they are rarely done in a way that is convincing enough to make them appealing. Usually, because the point of the three-some is erotic, the language is typically more crude than your average romance, and honestly, it makes me cringe. I’m by no means a prude—I read primarily romance novels, but I think there is a fine line between erotic language and pornographic language. On top of that, the relationships in these sorts of situations rarely seem balanced; there is almost always a character that is weaker than the others or otherwise less appealing. Going into this book, I was a bit wary of what I would find.I was pleasantly surprised. Delicate Freakn’ Flower was a hilarious battle between Naomi, a quick-tempered, girly wolf-shifter and her two suitors—Ethan, the adorably huggable Kodiak Bear-Shifter, and Javier, a Jaguar-Shifter that practically oozed sex. The last thing Naomi wanted was to find a shifter mate. Hands down. She hates their animalistic, brutish natures, and so it was appalling to her to find out that she had not one, but two mates, and they were both thuggish lacrosse players. She fought—oh how she fought—tooth and nail to avoid these men, but of course, as all erotic romance stories go, she eventually succumbed. This story was deliciously racy, humor-filled, and engaging. The narrative was exceptionally well written in the snarky-voice of Naomi with tiny bits of the two males here and there, but it truly was a full out battle of wills between the three. For once, the 3-person relationship not only worked, but I honestly can’t imagine it had there only been two of the characters. The personalities and characterizations of Naomi, Ethan, and Javier was so closely intertwined, that had any of the group been missing, it wouldn’t have worked. There was a thriller/mystery sub-plot under the romance that revolved around some threatening messages and attacks against Naomi’s family, and though I don’t know if it was necessary to the story itself as a whole (the romance would have stood up just fine on it’s own) I’m glad it was included. It added a little more depth to the story, and it was fun to have something other than the relationship between the three main characters to follow. As for the sex scenes, I’ll admit, they were a little more racy that I usually will admit to liking. I think that’s sort of par-for-the-course when you’re dealing with a three-person relationship. There was certainly quite a bit of dirty talk between the characters, but I think the author pulled it off in a way that didn’t come across as crude. So much time was spent developing their relationship throughout the book, and slowly upping the ante on the sexual side of it, that by the time the story got to the super-racy bits, it really didn’t bother me to have the characters throwing out wild sexual lines.Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It was engaging, fast-paced, well-written, and the characters were hilariously entertaining. Would I read it again? Definitely. Would I recommend it? Yes. If you like super-racy paranormal romance or erotica, you’re probably going to like this. It won’t be for everyone—it’s certainly for mature audiences only—but it was a good book, and fantastic for it’s genre.

Fun with shifters
I enjoyed the humor in this story and hope that it continues through the series. The characters are well developed and interesting and the dialogue is witty. You have to love a panther who quotes Monty Python. I liked how the relationships developed between the heroes and heroine, and got a few chuckles out of her family. The plot mostly revolves around getting the characters' love lives together, but the secondary plot of someone threatening the heroine and her family also works. The writing is good, although there are a few typos, they're not enough to distract from the story.Naomi is a werewolf who is the only girl in a family of six siblings. She grew up having every disagreement turn into a brawl, every thing she treasured broken, and lots of yelling and chaos. She swore that she would never pick a shifter male as a mate because of their dominant nature. She treasures her peace, her knicknacks and her nice furniture, and her accounting job that makes sense and always adds up. She dates humans that play chess, who have steady white collar jobs, and who she is sure will give her a peaceful future. When her friend drags her to a professional lacrosse game, she's horrified that she can't take her eyes off two of the players. When she locks eyes with one of them, her inner wolf howls that he's her mate. The player is just as distracted by the eye contact, missing the ball, which sails over the glass and knocks Naomi out cold.Ethan is a Kodiak bear shifter, a professional lacrosse player and in the off season, an architect. He's floored to see the beautiful woman in the stands who his bear roars is his mate. He runs smack into the glass and then the ball he misses knocks her out! It's a disastrous beginning and he doesn't even know her name. He asks his best friend, Javier, a fellow lacrosse player and a panther shifter, to come with him to find the woman and apologize. When they find her, Javier takes one look into her eyes and knows that she's his fated mate, too. His tomcat days are over. Her family, of course, start brawling with the men who injured their sister, she has a concussion and can't break it up, but her mother can and does. Her mother is delighted to hear that these two handsome shifters are her daughter's life mates, the men of the family aren't too sure. The one who objects the loudest is Naomi.Naomi wants nothing to do with these two Neanderthals, dumb jocks, men who are just going to charge in and break up everything she's worked for,..... Ethan and Javier have their work cut out for them to convince Naomi that they are worthy partners and will enrich her life, not screw it up. Naomi just wants to have a casual sexual dating relationship, but the men hold out. When someone trashes her car and leaves threatening notes at work for her, they vow to protect her. What will it take to convince this stubborn woman to promise forever? She says she's a fragile flower, but then she insists she can take care of herself and doesn't need them. It's a tough job, but Ethan and Javier are man and beast enough to take her on.Lots of hot sexual situations. Heat factor hot.

Delicate Freakn' Flower
This novel can easily be described in one word – HOT! Langlais has once again created a vibrant tale full of realism and sizzling relationships with enough comedy to keep you glued to the pages. Langlais’ story was absolutely hilarious but never over the top. At the same time, she develops her unique brand of shifters and mates in such a manner that they become real for the reader while transporting them into a story that will keep them glued to the pages.Langlais develops characters (and relationships) to die for. Not only would they die for one another, but they’re the type of people that readers would die to get to know (or to be in a relationship with). Our main trio was a lot of fun to get to know. I loved how different each of the characters were. The diversity of personalities fit together quite well and also helped to explain the ease with which they all came together. Langlais truly allows readers to see inside the characters’ minds. Her reasoning for things really explained how she thought and why she was fighting herself, not wanting to give into her desires. I also thoroughly enjoyed the family dynamic that we got to know as well. They added body and fun to the story while highlighting the alpha tendencies of shifters. This novel was well plotted and executed, making it enjoyable from cover to cover. Langlais’ unique brand of writing really shines through as her phenomenal characters take over your life for a short while.

In tre è meglio

Teddy Bears, Pussy Cats and Delicate Flowers!
This is a new author for me despite her having a number of books out. I have to say that this is a great introduction. Shifters, check, a big rowdy family, check, two hunky shifter males, check, humour, check, ménage, big check. The lead female in the story, Naomi, has a whole host of rowdy brothers leading her to come to the realisation that she wants a nice human husband. No way in hell does she want a shifter mate, besides she’s a delicate freakin’ flower and needs to be treated as such or else she’ll kick their asses (yup delicate my….). You can imagine her dismay when she clashes eyes with her mate at none other than at a violent shifter game of lacrosse, and to top it all he is one of the players.May I point out at this point that Evan is nothing but a big teddy bear, literally. His best friend Javier, who also happens to be his best friend and a jaguar shifter accompanies him on his mission to win her over and horror of horrors, for both womaniser Javier and Naomi, discovers that he is also her mate! Now I am not one for ménage stories, however, I’m not sure why, I liked this. There was a great mix of building the characters as well as the relationships before a ménage was thrown into the mix. Boy and what ménages they were, yup they! It is a great mix of sexy, who done it, humour and relationship making it a great paranormal read.

Simply not enough feelings
This is the first book ot the Freakn' Shifters series:- Delicate Freakn' Flower- Jealous and Freakn'- Already Freakn' Mated- Human and Freakn'- Jungle Freakn' BrideNaomi is a shifter who does not want another shifter as lover. She hates the alpha males violence, their crazy behavior, their claiming and their controlling nature. So when not one but two very alpha shifters claim her as mate she simply refuses. Ethan, a Kodiak bear and Javier a jaguar are friends used to share women, so when fate decides that they share the same beautiful mate they are exited at first. When they however understand that Naomi does not want them they set their mind on proving her that alpha males can be nice and respectful of her needs as long as they get her. When however her life is threatened, will they be able to control their violent nature? This book is a full length novel (202 pages), giving the reader enough time to get to know the characters. It is my first book by Eve Langlais.I am sorry but I simply did not keep reading, I read several things in the same time until I finished this one.I did not really like Naomi, remained distant to Ethan and Javier. Probably I am just fed up by books in which there is no other attraction between the characters other than simply : they are mated!Naomi is a very mouthy young lady, if you enjoy that you will probably enjoy the book. The sex scenes are interesting mainly because of the ménage aspect, but they did not excite me.The beginning was nice, but then I simply missed the emotional relation between the too superficial characters.Enjoy the read MBTM
