My foster kittens were getting into electric cord at the back of my shelving units so I purchased this item to block them + give them a nice little space to sleep and play in.When I assembled the cave with the top, I noticed that the top's width was a little longer than the width of the cave, as you can see from the picture with the top on the bottom (with one of my kitties). I thought it was intentional, to reinforce the structure, but soon I noticed the top would bend and cave in, to the point I could see it from the front (picture attached). My two foster kittens are quite the little energy balls and tend to toss and turn around a lot, so if the top fit better, it would have been a perfect product...Other than the top problem, the cats love it and it fits really well in the shelving unit.

PROS:1. My cats love it and use it daily.2. It fits nicely in my IKEA KALLAX shelf.3, Practical and out of the way.4. Removable pillow with removable outer cover for easy cleaning.CONS:1. Looks a bit 'wonky' because it lacks a rigid inner structure.2. Bottom insert is too large for the cube causing it to bend slightly instead of laying flat.2. Hard to vacuum inside because the only access is through the small opening in the front.Overall I am happy with this bed. The cons are only minor and I would still recommend it.

This is a cute box, a felt box with a thin board to stabilize it and a pad for your little beast to rest upon.It's great for a small animal, or an animal that likes the dark cavelike spaces to curl up and sleep. I'd buy it again, it's made well and is just what you read in the description.

Our little girl Torti is a firecracker! However, when she finds the best spot to lay, she doesn't come out and naps like a true Princess! That's the case with this box that now sits in my IKEA Kallax unit in my craft room. Great product right out of the box. And when I can't find Miss Bela, that's where she is happily hiding! She's only 9 lbs, so it works great for her....our 13 lbs Bruce can fit, but does not like it as much, he wants to be where he can see from the back of a chair instead! Hope this review helps a fur-parent!!!

I think $20 is a little steep for a felt cube with felt stuffed pillow -- my snapping, fold-up, heavy duty laminated cube filing boxes cost less than $12.00, including shipping. The entrance already shows wear in the entrance hole from the primary cat user in my house. I wish it came in more colors so it wasn't so obvious. Next time, I'm just going to cut a hole in one of the $12 laminate boxes so it matches better, and put one of the cats' baby blankets or old towels inside. Only the smallest cat (9 pounds, 2+ years old) uses it, curled up, so it might not work for larger cats.

I love the look of this and it fits beautifully in my shelving unit. My cat however, has done little more than stick her head in. I’ve baited her with cat nip to no avail. I’m presently using it for her toy storage. Perhaps she’ll use it someday. For now she’s very happy with the tents on the bed and patio! UPDATE: It’s taken a while but she is now using her cat cubby cave for snoozing and hiding from me. She prefers it without the pillow now but that may change with my persistence!

I purchased two of these cat caves- one to use for it's actual intended purpose, and one to use with one of the Sureflap microchip feeders to create a more narrow opening for my special diet cat to eat out of. It's worked beautifully for both of those needs! My cats love hiding inside the felt cave; I find them snoozing in there all the time now. And the one I put the Sureflap feeder in has kept my fat cat from snarfing his brother's food. Definitely recommended!

The only reason I didn't give it a 5/5 is because it's a little flimsy and doesn't quite fill up the KALLAX cube so it looks a little messy. Otherwise, my cat sleeps in there almost 100% of the time and seems to love the softness of the pillow.
