A pleasure to write with, but the retractable tip is the real winner
This is a really expensive pencil. No doubt about that. But once you hold it in your hand and feel the balance and solidity of it, and you retract the writing tip - saving both leads, pockets, and scrunchable surfaces, it begins to make sense. Add in that it's also a (basic but functional) stylus for any phone or tablet, and it's really a winner. The stylus feature is again, only basic - this won't give you the precision of something like an Apple Pencil - but it's always close at hand, and it's a whole lot more accurate than my thumbs. It also keeps smudges off your display which itself is a huge plus.Pro: Feels, looks, and works like a finely crafted mechanical device.Con: Doesn't improve my handwriting, and, it's a pencil that costs more than an entry-level tablet.Verdict: Completely pleased with my purchase.

Great Pencil, Honest Review
PROS- pencil is very heavy- metal grip doesn’t hurt your hand- stylus is super responsive- being able to retract the tip is useful/fun- has an eraser capCONS- hardly any eraser- pencil clip is very tight- loading lead can be difficult sometimes- Leads like 4B will break super easy. As a super hard writer, I find that a B lead works very nicely with this pencil.

S.D.S. Sleek, Durable, Sexy
I'm clearly a fanboy of this brand, but I have some disabilities and drop things all the time. These pencils and pens are super durable, and the design that allows me to pull the tip in saves my pockets when they aren't in a case. Now, rotring, about the durability: do you make plates and bowls?

Probably prefer the 800.
This will be my 3rd Rotring pencil. I also have a 600 and 800 in black. I wanted a silver one to go with it and pick this one up.The difference between this one and the regular 800 is the stylus tip (this also comes with two spare rubber tips). Personally that's not too useful in my case since I don't normally use one with my electronic devices anyway. I actually prefer the look of the regular 800.The finish on the silver units are slightly less pleasing than the black versions. The silver version has a smoother finish where as the blacks have a more textured finish which I prefer.Overall a good pencil. The retractable tip makes it a good everyday pencil and I got this at a good price so this will be my daily carry Rotring. Overall though I would say a Rotring 800 (non plus version) in black is still my favorite.

Feels great in your hands and writes well.
Very durable. Great value for your money. I own three of them now. I’ll probably keep buying more. Love this pencil. I don’t want to write without it.

Top quality and long history of amazing writing equipment
rOtring has never let me down when it comes to writing utensils. The 800+ being the Rolls Royce of their lineup, continues to demonstrate quality craftsmanship with the extra function of the stylus

Timeless design
This very nice, sleek, hefty/light, perfectly balanced unit takes me back to my youthful days in architecture school, but the stylus adds a wonderful dose of here and now. I only wish it came in a .9mm size. .7mm is OK but .9 nicer for sketching.
