Weldbond 8-50160 Multi-Purpose Adhesive Glue, 1-Pack (3.(Pack))

Fabulous glue. Dries fast, waterproof. I bought this to use when doing mosaic but find myself using it for most everything. It works great on wood, pottery, glass and everything else I have tried it on. It does not dry “instantly” but it is dry enough usually within a few minutes to hold in place, let dry overnight and it is PERMANENT. I had glued a wooden dowel type item which was broken completely into, some weeks later my husband and I were using that piece for support while building a new deck the piece broke from so much weight. After picking up the broken pieces, it was broken in a completely different place, even though the wood broke with the weight the glue held!! My go to glue for everything!!

I've tried many glues over the years, and this glue is simply the best. It's fantastic when working with leather, wood, ceramic, heavier fabrics, and much more. The new bottle design keeps the dispenser from clogging which was my only complaint in the past. I've repaired leather belts/shoes/purses, furniture, even reattached glass tiles that popped loose on the fireplace. The repairs last. It is important to make sure to allow enough time for the glue to completely dry before using the item. I usually allow at least 24 hours, more for furniture or fragile items.

So, I was looking for a glue that can be used with glass mosaic tiles for coasters that dried clear. This worked perfectly, except when I tested weeks later what happened if you wet the top of the coaster to clean it. It turned a little milky and has stayed that way several weeks hence. It would probably be fine with a wet wipe and dry, but for something that needs to be rinsed clean if you want to the glue to stay clear.

This didn't work for what I wanted: gluing those flattened glass at-the-bottom-of-the-vase-to-hold-your-flowers-in-place marbles onto glass bell jars. I needed a clear glue for teens to use and I thought non toxic would be best but it took a couple days to really dry and during that time the glass pieces kept sliding down the jar side. We finally went with permanent glue dots-clear/see through and fast!

I purchased this glue based on a recommendation from a popular woodworking YouTube channel. I'm pretty sure that they must be getting paid to promote this junk because it is worthless.I have used it on two applications and both failed immediately. One was plastic to plastic and the other metal to wood. In both applications the surfaces were properly cleaned with alcohol and I gave each a 48 hour dry time. I re-glued both applications with epoxy which worked well.This stuff appears to be nothing more than Elmer's white school glue and even smells the same. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that Elmer's makes this as a private label and this company just jacks the price way up.

Using for a mosiac (glass on wood). Once the pieces are on and completely dry; they're stuck! I did find that spreading with a brush drastically sped up tack time...just glooping it on with the tip gives you plenty of time. Did dry clear.

I heard this stuff was amazing so I bought it. That said, it does not bond to wood very well.

EXCELLENT ADHESIVE. It works on most materials. Just don't keep it outside in the garage. If it freezes, it's ruined.
