Radiant Wise Spirit Tarot [Graham, Sasha, Lo Scarabeo] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Radiant Wise Spirit Tarot Review: Beautiful Version of the RWS. - Sturdy well designed box. Gold gilt edges. Card illustrations look beautiful, presenting a vision of what PCS might have created had she been given sufficient time and compensation to do so. I find the cardstock to be too heavy to riffle shuffle conveniently. This slight inconvenience is sufficiently compensated for by the rather luxurious production value of the deck. The deck appears rather theatrical in its beauty, which may appeal to the aesthetic sensibilities of certain readers or their querents. While I don't personally anticipate using this deck as a regular working deck, the deck does seem alive and immediately responsive. Well worth acquiring, perhaps as a specialized tool to put into your Tarot toolbox to use on certain appropriate occasions. Review: Nice Deck and Good Quality - Vibrant color and so much details in this deck. It will be more of a green-ish color on this deck. I'm surprised that it's a golden glided on the side. I thought it would be just paper. I don't know if this is a new production or not but I like it. It's not too thick so won't be hard to shuffle.

Beautiful Version of the RWS.
Sturdy well designed box. Gold gilt edges. Card illustrations look beautiful, presenting a vision of what PCS might have created had she been given sufficient time and compensation to do so. Nice Deck and Good Quality
Vibrant color and so much details in this deck. It will be more of a green-ish color on this deck. I'm surprised that it's a golden glided on the side. I thought it would be just paper. I don't know if this is a new production or not but I like it. It's not too thick so won't be hard to shuffle.

Excellent
Lo Scarabeo really hit it out of the park with this one. The darker tone, the rich colors, and the zooming in so that the figures on the cards are larger, all contribute to a more intimate feeling when reading. To address some of the criticisms mentioned in reviews here, much of it is individual preference. Yes, the cards are darker than other versions of the RWS, and yes, there is a slight smudging in the backgrounds, meant to add texture to the images. I consider myself fairly observant when it comes to tarot decks, but honestly, when reading with the cards I'm not holding each card up to my face and staring at the tiny details, so I don't even notice the smudging anymore except in a very general way. Those who are knowledgeable about the history of the RWS's publication will want to know that the line drawings for this deck are the Pam B and not the Pam A. I thought that would be a problem, but since the cards are entirely newly colored, it turns out not to be that noticeable a distinction. Not to sound like a smartypants, but I believe everyone here has missed the point of this deck. I believe this deck was deliberately designed by Lo Scarabeo to echo the Morgan-Greer Tarot. Think about it -- every distinguishing feature of this deck is reminiscent of the Morgan-Greer: a) borderless b) vivid, autumnal colors c) overall darker feel d) figures on the cards are larger (i.e. they zoomed in a bit on the images) e) titling and numbering of Majors (Roman numeral, then hyphen, then card title) All of these are also features of the Morgan-Greer. So, if you think you might like a version of the RWS designed to look like the Morgan-Greer, you will probably like this deck. The design of the box is superlative. I can't address the peeling cardstock issues; rather than riffle-shuffling, I shuffle decks hand-over-hand or by laying out the deck in piles, just so I don't have to worry about such issues.

Is this a newly improved version of the "Dirty Pam"?
I was pleasantly surprised by this deck: a new card stock with a satin finish has replaced the very glossy lamination. I don't own any other version, but I often heard how glossy the cards used to be. These are not. Plus, the golden edges are a nice touch.

A Great deck
I love this deck! It's easy to read. The card stock is fairly thick, and I love the depth and subtlety of the colors. It isn't as garish are the original version of the RWS deck. It's now my go to deck. UPDATE: I've had this deck a few months now and still absolutely love it! I find this deck really easy to read and I love the deep colors and zoom in on some of the images. The card stock is thick, but not too thick and the box is a sturdy one. I think this the best working deck I've ever had. So far, I have no complaints about this deck. I highly recommend this one.

A beautiful deck all around
I absolutely love this deck. I have a couple of other versions of the original Rider-Waite-Smith deck—as any tarot enthusiast should. However, I rarely find myself working with any of those decks. I'll occasionally pull one out, but I'm just not drawn to them. This deck is different. Several reviews point out the darker colors or "dirty" images of this deck as key points they do not like. I personally love the darker coloring of this deck and am not bothered by the "dirty Pam" artwork in the least. At least one reviewer says these are printed on cheap paper. That couldn't be further from the truth. The cardstock is heavy and strong. The cards are a high gloss, which some will like and others will not. The multi-rose backing is gorgeous. And the lack of borders around the art (and backing) are highly appealing features in my opinion. Furthermore, Lo Scarabeo ships the deck in a sturdy box that functions beautifully as a show-worthy storage box. The top slides off easily and the package feels very safe. Nice little booklet included as well. If this deck has caught your eye, I say buy it right away!

All the cards were delivered intact. The images are amazing. I immediately felt strong resonance with so many of the cards. My very first deck and I love it!

PERFEITO!

I did not learn tarot with a traditional RWS deck because I did not connect with the art at first but as you learn tarot and watch others you automatically pick up on the imagery. Once I made up my mind to invest in a deck I realize it was the colour scheme in most RWS decks I did not like. I really liked the original dirty pam but it was no longer available so after much deliberation I got this and I was not disappointed! It is so beautiful. Even more mesmerizing in person. It’s darker than I expected but so much more dynamic and vibrant than for example the Smith-Waite Centennial (muted version which I also love), without being harsh or obnoxious in a way I find most RWS decks to be. It is a bit zoomed in but it’s because of no borders (yay!) and not wanting to add to Pixie’s original artwork. I know a lot of people do not like the glossy finish but I think it makes the colouration of the cards look more captivating and dynamic. My only con is that the cards are on the thicker side and not as flexible. It’s one of my thickest and more rigid tarot decks. For someone with small delicate hands it’s nearly impossible to hold all the cards comfortably and riffle shuffle. But the cards do overhand shuffle well and glide together nicely. It also gives a very accurate read. So overall definitely recommend! You can’t go wrong with these cards they are gorgeous!
