Great customer service. Decent training aid.
The laser didn’t go off when I put it in the revolver no matter how hard I tried to make it work. I contacted the seller and they rushed me a new cap to replace the defective part. It now works like a charm. I can’t say enough about the great customer service, they helped me solve the problem with the one that I purchased. It remains to be seen how long this will last, but it’s working very well now, and it is a great training aid to teach proper trigger, squeeze, and grip.

Nice laser cartridge, great customer service
Great company that stands behind their product 100%. One of the cartridges I ordered didn't work, but after sending a message, I had a replacement in my hands within 2 days. The replacement works perfectly.Due to the geometry of (most) revolvers, the laser POI is about 1" low at 5 yards when used in a revolver, but it's consistent so it's pretty easy to account for the difference. This is no surprise because it's mentioned in the description and in the user manual. Some laser trainer software can even be adjusted to account for this automatically - for example, in SharpSpotter, you could simply move the detection rings 1" below the printed target rings.I've rotated this laser cartridge within its chamber in the cylinder to test for rotational symmetry and found it to be consistent - you don't have to put it in the cylinder in any particular orientation; the laser emitter is well aimed down the axis of the chamber. The cartridge fits snugly into the cylinder (similar to the slightly tighter fit of an expanded spent casing), and if you don't want to use the ejector, it can be easily removed by inserting a q-tip from the other side, especially if you dab a little oil on the o-rings. The dot is nice and bright - easy to see even in a brightly lit room. The training program I use (SharpSpotter) has no problem detecting the shot. The cartridge also comes with a spare set of batteries and a nice padded tin case, which is a nice touch. The electronic primer switch shines the laser for a discrete time period (0.05 seconds) upon activation (instead of continuing to shine until released) - this ensures clean shot detection by your computer/phone laser trainer program and prevents a "stripe" of light that other laser cartridges sometimes generate with extended hammer contact. This probably wouldn't be a problem for most semi-auto pistols and modern revolvers, but it's a nice touch that helps those of us training with old revolvers, where the hammer might depress the primer switch for an extended time after firing. There are other reviews which mention the laser staying on, but the product has apparently been updated since then - mine only emits briefly even when the switch is pinned down.Overall, I'm happy with the laser cartridge and thrilled with the excellent customer service. I'm considering buying a few more so I can train follow-up shots without having to reset the cylinder.

Perfect for realistic practice
This will hit lowBut that has nothing at all to do with the laser design this can be proven because no matter how you rotate the cartridge in the chamber it will hit the exact same spot lowRevolvers use a forcing cone to make bullets concentric in the barrel because a laser never makes contact with the forcing cone obviously it can’t be forced into concentricity with the barrel and continues to travel in a straight line along the bottom of the barrel and once you combine that with other gun design ie the daft your sights are designed to estimate point of aim some distance away aka after bullet drop and odds are you’re using this in a snubbie so any misalignment of sights is multiplied by that short sight radius then on top of that you’re probably shooting double action and that inherently pulls your gun down and to the left or right this hits an inch or so low but if you know that then all you have to do is shoot like normal and know that every shot is lowIf you’re hitting way low then a your gun has sights that need to be filed down to match point of impart for your real ammo and/or b you need to get betterSo set this thing in a bench rest or just slap rubber grips on your workshop vice crank it down tk the barrel and find out how low this thing hits compared to your sights and use that knowledge to get useful information about shot placementI just bought my second one of these because it allows me to practice my follow up shots in a realistic mannerSemi auto laser trainers are great but none allow you to get that feel for a follow up shot placement two or three lasers in a revolver willAnd if you can get good follow up shots with a snub nosed revolver im double action even without recoil it will go a long way to improving your follow ups with a semiautomatic with a nice short trigger pull even with recoilJust learn how low this thing hits and do not adjust your point of aim because then jn real life you’ll hit high but instead just adjust your scores accordingly

Loved the utility of the .38 revolver laser cartridge
I really loved the quality of this .38 laser cartridge for the revolver, especially that the laser does not stay lit when the hammer rests on the primer (which is why I picked this brand upon researching).Unfortunately for me, my .38 suffers the characteristic misalignment of cylinders Taryag advised of which caused dry fire accuracy issues unrelated to the quality of the laser cartridge.TaryagDefense customer service was amazing, friendly and extremely responsive however. Phil from TARYAG, LLC was a stand out in customer service and provided helpful additional suggestions for fixing the alignment issues.I will definitely consider purchasing other calibers from them in the future.

Works well in my S&W model 60 pro .38 special
Point of impact was 6-8 inches low at less than 10 yards. The adjustable sights on my revolver were able to compensate for this. I'm using it along with the LaserLyte Trainer Target Steel Tyme, ringing gong targets. I find this training method fun and productive. So far, so good.
