Tastes good, but NOT like malt
We worked in restaurants for years and managed several. In some, we had full ice cream menus and complete old-time soda fountains. We used liquid malt instead of the traditional powder, for speed. (Powdered malt must always be blended with milk for 30 seconds or more, prior to adding ice cream, syrups, flavors, etc., to avoid a gritty texture.)We have been trying to find the brand used in the past, but unfortunately, THIS IS NOT the one. Understand that this product does not have a bad taste. It simply doesn't have an authentic malt flavor. Over the many weeks since starting to use it, we have experimented at length with numerous concentrations (keeping a detailed log of number of drops used - the only variable; keeping everything else consistent, for an accurate evaluation).Over 25 volunteers compared our 16 oz. chocolate shakes to our 16 oz. chocolate malts. (The only difference was the addition of this product.) Concentrations were tried between 5 and 45 drops. At lower amounts, most could not tell the difference between the chocolate shake and the chocolate malt. As the amounts were increased, they could tell a difference and most said it tasted good... BUT - at no point, did anyone say that it tasted like malt.We will have to continue our search for a accurate, traditional-tasting liquid-malt.

This neither smells nor tastes remotely like malt, milk or malted milk
This neither smells nor tastes remotely like malt, milk or malted milk. Maybe there's just a fine line between malted milk and cotton candy that I was previously unaware of.
