Drug dealer's will be .... Drug dealer's ...
Well how can I describe this ... ?? I found the behind the scenes rather riveting ...what bothered me the most .. in the 1970's... If you are making million's of dollars in drug money. More than you've ever seen in your entire life..?? Why linger around so long and especially when you begin to attract the attention of cop's...?? It's safe to say..". Ego trip and Power"..?? Of course ...!! Nicky Barns died in 2012 and Guy Fisher has just been released from prison at the age of 74 yrs old. OMG... was it worth it..? Nope...! Or I would have collected enough cash and moved on.. Sadly some people never learn...

Irony In Justice
Frank Barnes is somewhere likely living a comfortable life while those close to him suffer prison. That's irony compounded as this doc follows Frank from a lowly drug user to the top of the home grown American crimelords. What he did wasn't unlike those more famous south of the border drug kingpins and Italian-American Mafia godfathers. He was at the top of the local NYC drug world with much murder and mayhem lying at his feet. This just underscores the irony and randomness of justice served at the top levels. It barely addresses the fact that Barnes somehow came out a free man. There should be more presented to understand how this came to be.

Dig this
Great documentary. A story supposedly about a corrupt king pin gangster, but personally, I went away from this seeing how corrupt the U.S. justice system is. A man rightly convicted for murder, drug trafficking, and much more, walks because he talks. Deal making, and backstabbing politicians in the justice system have everyone on a leash. Some leashes are longer than others, but there is always an elected official at the anchor point.

Yet Another Side Of The Story
I purchased this along with "Superfly: The Frank Lucas Story" This was a great DVD and brings alot to the table. I saw "American Gangster" and found the subject very interesting yet could not help but feel that I was not getting the "real deal" and only some convoluted Hollywood version of the truth. Like many Hollywood "Based on a True Story" movies, the subjects are interesting in their own right, yet filmmakers feel the need to embellish. I was not there but the people in this DVD were! They all have alot to contribute to this interesting tale. I heard Nicky Barnes interviewed on Howard Stern recently and found him to be a very compelling and interesting person. I can't say that I agree with his choices or lifestyle but his interview and the DVD gave me some very interesting things to think over.

The Code
Nicky Barnes is the truth. He lived his life by a code. He lived his life by an oath of loyalty that he made to his brothers. What happens when you're betrayed by the ones whom you put your trust into. What happens when the people who you kept it real with don't keep it real with you? This book is on point and unravels the circumstances surrounding one question that a lot of people want to know the answer to. Why did Nicky Barnes snitch? It's often said that getting revenge is the best feeling in the world. In Mr. Barnes case I'd have to agree.

His crew betrayed him & he took them all down.
I’ve seen many movies & documentaries of drug kingpins, but I consider Nicky Barnes to be Mr. New York as far as drug kingpins go. It’s a fascinating story.

Proves that "American Gangster" is a false movie
A very interesting, well made documentary about the main heroin dealer in Brooklyn during the late 60's & 70's. He put over 85 people in Prison who betrayed him while he was in Prison himself. Its hard to judge him due to him just reacting to being stabbed in the back himself. He made 9.2 million a month, very well done. Also proves the movie "American Gangster" is a completely fabricated movie and how the phrase "Based on a True Story" can be false entirely.

Mr Untouchable (DVD)
This was a very enjoyable DVD and told of the total devestation that heorin had on Harlem in the 1970s it did not glamourise it and the end result will be death or a long stretch in prison
