J.I.D. has been on my radar since I found out he signed to Dreamville. The anticipation was worth it as his debut exceeds expectation. With his unique delivery and amazing flow he captured and held my attention with ease. I was a big fan of the songs where JID brought more melody to the track. Shows he is versatile and can make complete, mainstream ready songs. As well as rap with the best lyricists. He's a special talent and any Hip Hop fan should peep this album.

Nearly every song is a banger. Nice beats and sick lyrics and flow. I would go as far as saying that he is comparable to other southern rappers that transcend the region from which they are from. i.e. Scarface, Outkast, etc.

J.I.D is a fresh voice to hip-hop. Great first album for him. Love his sound.
