Handpresso Wild Outdoor Set

For the last few motorcycle camping tours I have used an espresso pot on a gas stove for my morning coffee hit but this little gadget looked like it could avoid the mess of coffee grounds and pot cleaning.I have not taken it on a trip yet but first tests are really impressive. It's quick, easy, the coffee is pretty good and there is no mess. If only a version was available that worked with Nespresso pods I would be in heaven.For bike tours where space is at a premium I doubt I will take more than just the Handpresso but for days out the full kit is great. The flask holds temperature quite well and by removing two cups I have spade for a little plastic container for my sugar.UpdateI have now dropped my rating to one star. This has now been used on four trips but every trip this little device takes a lot of pushing and pulling before it will pressurise. Then on the last trip it totally stopped working. In fact when I pull out the pump handle and let it go it snaps back closed so is pulling a vacuum rather than pushing pressure. Resorted to finding a supermarket for a packet of instant for the rest of the trip. Back home I have stripped it and cleaned and lubricated everything but the damned thing still won't work. It is now a very expensive door stop.In future I will go back to my little gas stove and mini espresso pot.

Whilst it seems a well put together bit of equipment it isn't really.After just over 3 months of occasional use, the pressure release button came off, then the pump stopped working.Also don't expect great help from the manufacturers when it comes to warranty support.

Not only is this a very handy portable product, the way the Handpresso delivers the equal constant pressure makes a uniquely smooth coffee!Excellent

I purchased this from amazon and i couldn't wait to use it. I boiled the kettle, looked in my outdoor set to get the coffee pods, no coffee pods, it took me a week to find which supermarket stocks them. in the pictures they show you coffee pods in the sleeve of the outdoor set. i was very disappointed. selling me something that was incomplete. you can buy the pods at sainsburys, all the other supermarkets don't seem to sell the pods. very good product though.

I bought the handpresso and wild outdoor kit for my gadget freak, coffee loving, sailing dad who is virtually impossible to buy for. The handpresso fills the roles of amazing gadget and brilliant coffee without the limitations of an espresso machine. It is very quick and simple to use and there is virtually no mess with the pods. The addition of the wild outdoor kit to the handpresso makes it a practical option for going out and about and having coffee on the go, and an interesting thought for all campers, sailers and hikers going into 'real' coffee withdrawal!The only issue seems to be that after nearly a month of regular use the paint seems to be peeling very slightly around the pressure guage, for which i have withdrawn a star. Otherwise a useful and clever innovation for coffee lovers on the move.

It does what it says on the box! Depending on the coffee pod used excellent real espresso coffee can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere. It is simple to use and the only restriction is the amount of hot water you can take with you.

The machine itself is excelent, a fine bit of simple engineering. With the correct coffee it turns out some excelent brews. Easily maintained and clean due to the ESE pods. My only complaint is with the flask that comes with the WIld set, it has a metal cap which draws a lot of heat from the water, so it's quite a bit cooler only after two hours.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the high level of craftsmanship and quality of materials used. It does have a very luxury look and feel nad is very simple to use. Fancy and worthy accessory for an espresso connoiseur.
