It moves like you do. The 4moms mamaRoo 4 infant seat bounces up and down and sways from side to side, just like parents do when comforting their baby. Select from five unique motions, like car ride and tree swing, and five different speeds. Choose from four built-in sounds or connect it to any MP3 player. The seat reclines to multiple positions to allow baby to lie back and relax or sit up and play. The mamaRoo is also Bluetooth enabled so you can control the motion, sound, speed and volume from your compatible smart device without disturbing baby! The overhead toy mobile now includes interactive, reversible toy balls. Keep baby’s attention with the sound of the crinkle ball, rattle or reflective mirror ball. Compatibility: The 4moms app for iOS is compatible with all Apple devices newer than the iPhone 4s that are running iOS 9 or newer. The native Android app is compatible with most Android devices that support Bluetooth Low Energy and are running Android 4.3 or newer. The mamaRoo is an infant seat used to comfort, soothe and entertain your baby. It is not a sleeper, nor intended for overnight sleep, since it is neither a flat surface (there is always a slight recline), nor a firm surface, as recommended by pediatricians. Never leave your child unattended. Hold down the motion button for 3 seconds to turn the screen off.

Great Idea! No back up!
So my wife found this thinking it would help calm our very fussy 3 month old down. it did for a about two weeks then it stopped working! Surprise, surprise! so I hop on the almighty google to see if this is a normal thing with this product line and low an behold, it is! So here it is. it will turn on and a split second later it will stop! the screen will flash a few times, and you guessed it nothing! Nothing happens from then on out. After a little research I find that I'm not the only one who has come across this tiny problem of spending $200 only to have it break 2 weeks later! oh and its a faulty rubber band that snaps internally that gums up the gearing and keeps you from having a happy and content child! I know this cause I found a few videos of people who took maters into their own hands to fix the issue. Me how ever I beleave I should be still under warranty. Oh customer support you say.... what support? there is no number to call, there is only an email to send out to and apparently that is not monitored. MaMaRoo if your out there can I get some help here please! with some help on this I can change the 1 star to a 4 cause the thing was good!Update! They did reach out and they did send me a complete new unit once the old one was verified destroyed. So thank you MamaRoo!

It’s ok but not worth the price. One big problem.
*Updated*The mamaroo works as advertised. The motions soothe our fussy baby for the most part, but unfortunately due to a massive design flaw we can only use it in the reclined position. The way the straps are positioned they pull tight on her belly when the swing is inclined. The more inclined the swing is, the more weight pulling down on the harness, and the tighter the straps pull on her. The only way she sleeps in it is if it’s leaned almost all the way back. There’s a whole lot of hype around this product. It’s definitely not worth $250.*Update* after a week it started randomly making a clicking noise that’s loud enough to wake my daughter up. And the Bluetooth stopped working. Kind of defeats the purpose of the thing. Don’t waste your money.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
Amazing product, wish I had it for my first!!!Pros: Super easy assembly, my husband put it together literally in minutes. Easy cleanup: the mamaroo’s base zips our and pops right into the wash. The unique mesh design allows for air to circulate my LO so I’m not left with a poor sweaty baby after; we live in a desert climate of highs around 120’ so this was a must but it’s great for every climate really. If your a techy you’ll love the Bluetooth feature, it’s saved me many trips back to the roo after sitting down to nurse and realizing I’ve forgotten to turn it off. I’ve read some reviews where they say the music isn’t loud enough but we've found it’s plenty loud and the option of soothing sounds is a plus. Lastly, the sleek small design not only compliments any interior decor but also doesn’t take up a lot of room. It’s extremely lightweight and easily movable.Cons: Not many really. It does need to be plugged in so if you have a home limited on plugs that may be a problem.Overall extremely happy!!!

What a wonderful gadget!
What parent has not had days where you are dead tired, the infant is crying, and you place him or her into a baby swing to calm him down by rocking it back and forth with your feet while trying to stay awake on the nearby couch? The moment you suddenly drift off into sleep... WHAAAA... baby cries again? Ah, the joys of parenthood. We had tried vibrating swings, but even though the baby usually calms down, I could not imagine being on a bed that constantly vibrated. It would drive me nuts! We decided to give this automated baby swing a try, and in short: it's a GREAT tool!PROS- Control of a variety of speed, motion, music, and volume options- Control via the base buttons or via an app through a Bluetooth connection- Built-in speakers to play sounds and music with- Baby loves the bounce and sway the most, probably because it most closely resembles how we actually rock the baby to sleep. It feels more natural.- Easy and fast to assemble- Lightweight, yet sturdy enough to not tip over- Does not take up much space since the base is more narrow- Can play your own MP3 music- Overhead toy keeps baby entertained, but be careful about hanging anything on there that could potentially fall- Machine washable material and basketCONS- Speakers are not particularly the best, but the baby won't know the difference in sound quality anyway- Your own music can only be played via the 3.5mm headphone jack (no Bluetooth despite having a Bluetooth module already built into the swing)- Newborn insert is not included- Safety harness could be improved to prevent the baby from falling out, especially if you are not close by to superviseWARNING: keep the baby fastened to the harness AT ALL TIMES. Not doing so could cause the baby to suffocate to death as evidenced by the tragedies experienced with a VERY popular crib that was in the news in early April 2019.Overall, I really like this automated swing -- it actually gives us more time to do other things than just sit there and manually rock the baby back and forth. With that said, I would never suggest anyone to leave the baby unsupervised for an extended period of time because issues could creep up without you knowing. For that very reason, even though having the Bluetooth control available via an app, I prefer going to the swing to change the motion/speed/sound/music via the buttons at the base so I can also check on the baby at the same time. The swing can be used until the baby can sit upright on his or her own, or has reached 25 lbs, whichever comes first. The only concern I have is how long the mechanical components will last.If you found this review helpful, please click the "Yes/Helpful" button to encourage me to write more. Thank you!

Worth the money!
I think I like it more than my son does but I love that it is very quiet. It also plugs in which is a plus so I don't have to constantly buy batteries. The app feature is very cool so if you need to change the settings quickly. I just wish that you could play music through the bluetooth as well

Very comfortable for baby
Amazing swing, space savvy, baby loves the 5 different movements, not too impressed with sounds but that's okay also the plastic above has already cracked I'd expect more from a 250 dollars swing

Love my mamaroo
Yes, a little pricey. And a lot of moms say their baby either loves or hates it. Mind didn’t like it much at first but she likes it now (5 weeks). If I could make one change, it would be to be able to play music via blue tooth. It had a very short AUX cord on it to connect an mp3 device but that would be my phone which I’m using.

Absolutely love!
We absolutely love this swing and after about a month of use, we so far have had no issues. It’s quiet, and does exactly what it is supposed too! Love this material, it is soft, breathable and has nice cushion to it. The app works great. My baby LOVES the balls, he is always smiling and cooing at them at 2 months old. Love that it is adjustable! The only con is that the speaker honestly is really lousy; it sounds extremely cheap… which should not be the case with the cost of the swing! I wish they included a lullaby as well.

We love the mamaroo !!!!
We love it, quick delivary. We love the new material more than the one before, it's soft and easy to wash. It work really great with the app. The only thing that we think is missing is a Bluetooth connection not for the app but for the music as well so we done have to connect our phone on the mamaroo. So if the baby is sleeping and you get a call it's not going to wake him up. The reste is super great and perfect size to put everywhere and carry in case of travel. Thank you for this nice product.

Pas un incontournable
Bébé l’aime bien sans plus. Cependant, pour le prix, je trouve dommage qu’elle ne vibre pas. J’avais de meilleures attentes pour le prix.

Broke after 4 months of use
The media could not be loaded. Well I expect more for the price, it makes a loud noise if I turn it on now and it’s only been in use for 4 months... before the defect I loved it that is why I am marking it 2 stars
