Perfect trowel/scoop!
I absolutely love this tool. The ergonomics are good, unlike cheap versions, and the point is nice and thin, and sharp. I’ve made the mistake of buying cheap trowels in the past, and as with most tools, you get what you pay for. In the case of this item, I feel like I actually got more than I paid for since I bought when it was on sale. Highly recommend!

Excellent and lightweight for digging and weeding
Very durable and comfortable for digging and weeding. Highly recommend. Excellent quality and will last for many years. Lightweight and easy to use for seniors.

Wow! So much better than a regular trowel!
This versatile scoop helped make short work of a garden bed refresh, quickly pulling decomposed granite and dirt away from the edging and putting it back in place. The deep cup also allowed me to easily make a large hole in a planter, including scooping out some of the dirt. Why did I only just find it?!

Multi-function tool.
This is my favorite garden tool. I had one before and lost it. Couldn’t garden without it so I bought another one.

Love this
I love this and that opinion comes from owning one of these for close to 20 years. I had one the exact one that had the cushioned handle and loved it. But after nearly 20 years the cushioned material had become gummy-- not fun. I had planned to wrap it somehow but took it to use somewhere else and lost it somehow. So I chose to replace it with the wooden handle to avoid that in the future. Being stainless it holds up perfectly- even when I leave it out in the SoCal elements. I love how much the scoop portion holds whether digging for planting or scooping some soil to add to a container. I also love the "jagged" edge which I've used to "cut" things such as thin stems and even bags of soil (it makes a rough cut but still gets me in the bag without scissors). I wholeheartedly recommend this garden tool. Obviously, I didn't hesitate to buy another one.

One of my favorite gardening tools.
I bought one of these soil scoops many years ago, in a small specialty garden shop. It quickly became a favorite gardening tool. Could never find these in "regular" home improvement store and always wanted to get a spare. Finally found these being sold on Amazon and bought one for my son, although it was the plastic handled version. Shortly after, found the wood handled version that I wanted, on sale, about half price and only a few dollars more than the plastic one. Jumped on that deal and now have my spare! I love the cupped shape of the spade, which makes scooping soil and potting mix easy, and the pointed tip really helps digging into compacted soil.

Sturdy multi purpose soil scoop
Nicely finished, seemingly sturdy soil scoop with quite sharp serrated edges. Good for dividing and replanting perennials, especially in pots since you can dig a little, saw them apart and then use the scoop to fill more soil in around the plants, all with one tool.

An essential gardening tool
Soil Scoops are great for any digging project, not just putting in new plants. I was extending some landscape lighting once, and I was working near where some other landscape lighting and irrigation lines were already buried. Obviously, I couldn't just get aggressive with a full size shovel, but poking around with the Soil Scoop prevented me from cutting into the other lines. The sharp point is useful for hard packed soil, and the serrated edges allow for cutting through intruding roots. In my opinion, this is a must-have tool. Made in USA, too.

Discovered this tool through a friend; WOW it's a game changer. From Scooping, weeding, edging, planting, etc, a great addition to my gardening tool artillery!

Excellent product, great price.

Holds more soil and doesn’t spill as much as typical trowels because of the deep curve. Serrated edges cut weeds nicely with both slicing and chopping motion.
