Trinny & Susannah The Survival Guide: A Woman's Secret Weapon for Getting Through The Year

Excellent book for women into fashion n clothes!!.....with in depth detail about where to shop around the world...to which top suits what body type...shoes..jacket...how to pack for a holiday....n the list goes on....Good worth for the money i got it for....what more can one ask for:)

I followed Trinny & Susannah "literary" career for quite a long time. I found their first book very interesting and filled with useful tips. If you follow their advice, you simply cannot go wrong with your outfits. I wish it was made compulsory reading, considering the way women go around nowadays.However, when T&S started to explode successfully, they started to churn out book after book, one less interesting than the other. While I might have sorely needed some advice about what to wear, I really did not care much about a yearly agenda based on THEIR lifestyle. It was my fault not to check the contect more carefully and to buy this book only because of the T&S duo.But I have learnt my lesson and this is the last T&S production I ever bought. The most useless T&S book in my library.

This book is SO helpful. It's helped me organise myself, get my life in order and be prepared for most things. The routines and annual guides are invaluable, regular maintenance that we would usually forget is brought up and it has helped me intervene before things get 'too much' around the house. So happy with this purchase! I'd recommend it to any homeowner!

I'm a fan of Trinny and Susannah and I thought this book was was very good but not absolutely spot-on, that's why I haven't given it 5 stars. I'm not in the same socio-economic bracket as Trinny and Susannah, plus many of their readers possibly, so some of the chapters don't apply to me. For instance I may visit a foreign city but won't be shopping at posh shops whilst I'm there! Nor do I ski, or have to find unique Christmas gifts for "go-getters". However, I wouldn't blame T & S for being out-of-touch here as I have acquaintances and relations who would find these bits relevant and helpful. Having said this, the majority of the book I thought was generally very good, entertaining and informative. I also liked the other book I have from Trinny and Susannah (several years ago now) and my only criticism of that one is that they only recommend the most expensive, absolute top-of-the-range cosmetics when cheaper brands would probably suffice. I also like Gok Wan but found his books very disappointing and much prefer Trinny and Susannah's offerings. I don't know what they are doing these days, but should they produce anything else in future then I would definitely be interested.

It was a gift, so I am unsure about how well it works. I expect to hear about it in a few weeks or so.
