Tejas Products Hi Point Carbine 9mm Stock Kit (Walnut)

Cool wood veneer upgrade for Hi Point carbine 45 ACP. Takes a little finesse to get the butt stock pieces lined up so they don't slide around...it's just a thru bolt to hold in place.

This was a very easy to use 8 piece kit. Two panels attached to the stock with the kits own crews and bolts. The two reciever panels had peal off plastic and then you just had to place and pat them down to seal really well. I used hand sanitizer to clean the area for the reciever panels and then wiped them drip before mounting the panels. Everything fit fine. The only problem is that this dresses up only the end 2/3 of the firearm. The barrel is covered in black polymer with fake polymer cooling rings. To carry the color scheme forward, I am going to paint the space between the "cooling rings" with a walnut tan. Because of the closeness of the rings to each other, I will use string as the paint brush. I can set a piece of white string in the gap between the rings, brush the paint on it away from barrel and then pull the string around the barrel. This will need two hands so the carbine will be mounted two vices not to in the way of the project.

The fit was nice. They looked good on the rifle. But the pieces for the stock kept loosening and after 6 months started to warp so they looked cheep.

With just a minor alteration to mine they fit the 10mm version of this carbine.The weight gain is negligible (it’s a hi-point, come on)They look cool, certainly dress up a fairly ugly carbine but don’t necessarily add any function.I’d buy another set of I needed them though.

Does a great job at dressing up a basic plain 995.

Cheap looking like other reviews mention, it’s almost identical to cheap laminate wood. Not worth the 25.00 if it was between 10-15 dollars it would be a better option

Cheaply made however does have some external appeal. Don’t overly expect much for the price, however will turn a few heads.
